Death Sat. Claims Mrs. Sarah H. Powers
Mrs. Sarah P. Powers, a resident of Anaheim, passed away in Oakland last Saturday, Dec. 15. Her home was at 837 No. Lemon Street. She was born in Boston, Mass., 57 years ago.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. Nangle of Anaheim; and two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Houghton of Oakland, and Mrs. Priscilla Rhodes of Quincy, Mass.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock with Mass at St. Boniface Church Wednesday 9 a.m. Interment followed in Holy Sepulchre cemetery with Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars in charge of arrangements.
Erwin Dale Tucker Passes Suddenly
Erwin Dale Tucker, a native of Kansas who moved to Anaheim about a year ago and who resided at 1001 N. Gilbert Ave., died Thursday of last week after an illness of but a few hours. He was 37 years of age.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Ruth Tucker; two sons, Thomas Norman and Jerrod Edward Tucker both at home; mother, Leota Tucker in Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Oscar F. Foos in Colorado and two brothers, William H. Tucker in Arkansas and Duane E. Tucker in Oregon.

Fuchsia Society to Hold Party Dec. 27
The Orange County Branch of the California National Fuchsia Society will celebrate by having the annual Christmas meeting on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 6:30 p.m. In Leglon Hall, 936 N. Lemon St., in Anaheim.
A baked ham pot-luck dinner will be furnished by the Branch, followed by an evening of entertainment and fun. A beautiful figurine will be awarded, as well as birthday plants for those who have a birthday in December.
New officers for the coming year will be installed, and Santa Claus will distribute the many presents that members exchange each year.

Christmas Seeds, sold since 1907, to raise funds to fight tuberculosis, are collected by many philanthropists. No issue has ever been reprinted, and each year the plates are destroyed.
The first American Christmas Seal Sale was conducted in 1907 in Wilmington, Delaware, with the help of the Red Cross to raise funds for a small hospital where lives were being saved from TB.
