Anaheim Gazette 11 Thursday, December 6, 1956 Pvt. Samuel S. Okamoto, 22 son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest I. Okamoto, 707 W. Laverne St., Anaheim, recently was graduated from the automotive fuel and electrical system repair course at the Army's Ordnance School, Aberdeen Proving Ground; Md. Okamoto completed basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash., before his arrival at Aberdeen Proving Ground. A 1954 graduate of Los Angeles Trade Technical Junior College and a former employee of Marsellus Lincoln-Mercury in Anaheim, he entered the Army last June. Army Pvt. Paul Wimer, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wimer, Sr., 173 Evelyn Dr., Anaheim, recently was assigned as chief clerk of operations and training section at Yokohama Army Port. Wimer, a 1955 graduate of Manual Arts Evening Advanced School, was employed by North American Aviation in Inglewood before entering the Army in Nov. 1955. He received basic training at Fort Ord, and was stationed at Camp Leroy Johnson, La., before arriving overseas in November. Due to the low overhead, the new firm is passing on the savings to the customers, selling at a near cost price. It's the original "do it yourself" firm, the owners said.
