B6 - Anaheim Gazette Anahiem, Calif., Thurs., Nov. 1, 1956 Banana Nut Bread 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup lard ½ cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup mashed bananas (3 medium bananas) ½ teaspoon lemon extract ½ cup chopped nuts Sift flour with baking powder, and salt. Cream lard and sugar; add well-beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with bananas; Add lemon extract and nuts and mix well.
