Tri-Hi-Y Installs At Candelight Ceremony Sunday A candlelight service marked the installation of the officers of the Tri-Hi-Y Clubs before a filled sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon. Officers of all 13 clubs in addition to Tri-Hi-Y Council officers and those of the high school woman's committee participated in the event. Mistress of ceremonies was Miss Judy Sympson, president of the Council. Scripture was read by Miss Carol Ryan, council vice president, who also led the group in a responsive reading of commitment. Other council officers who spoke briefly about the various meanings of the Tri-Hi-Y purpose and emblem included Miss Barbara Sims, Miss Kathy Walker, Miss Marcie Vincent and Miss Diana Hollowell. The offering solo was sung by Miss Sharon Ross, and prayers were given by Miss Susan Lillywhite. Mrs. Nan Moore, YMCA girl's work secretary, directed the ceremony of candlelighting, in which the symbolic light from the Christ candle was passed, first to the officer group as they were installed, and then to each girl as she accepted her membership commitments.
