Ball-Dale Annexation In By 2-1 Ballot On Tuesday
The long disputed problem of the Ball-Dale Annexation was settled on Tuesday when residents of that area voted to become a part of Anaheim by a 2 to 1 ballot. The proposed annexation has been in the process of becoming a part of the City of Anaheim for several months, but the balloting has been delayed several times due to improper procedures in several ways. After all legal procedures were met the election was held this week.
Tension has been running high among the opponents of the annexation especially among the residents of the Webster tract who had asked, and had been granted their request, to be excluded from the proposed annexation. Several residents of the tract appeared at the polls to vote, and since their area had been excluded, they were naturally refused the privilege of voting. The situation exploded when one of the opponents called the sheriff's office to report irregularities in the voting. The Telephone Co. Announce Heads At Orange Office
