The pair displayed by this fisherman at Lake Waskesiu in Prince Albert-National Park, Saskatchewan, weigh 9½ and 15½ pounds. Canada abounds in fine fishing waters. Marked declines in mortality rates, coupled with a lower birth rate and reduced immigration of young adults have resulted in slightly more than a four-fold increase since the turn of the century—from 3 million to over 14 million—in the number of Americans over 65. During this same period, the population as a whole has doubled. But there is evidence of pessimism about the prospect of the aged, according to Four president George Bugbee cent study by the Twentieth Century Fund, he said, showing while in 1890 every 100 supported 142 dependents it is estimated that ever workers will be supported more than 114 to 125 depended And since the over-65 share in the ever-growing national prosperity, Mr. added,"the financing of no productive years after age 65 become less and less an burden to the nation." than, recording secretary, and mrs.
