The bloodmobile is scheduled to make stops in Costa Mesa, Orange, Seal Beach, Westminster, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Marine Corps Air Facility at Santa Ana and the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. The one remaining bloodmobile this month is scheduled for Santa Ana Community clubhouse June 27 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. A larger unit is to be sent to Santa Ana this month, according to Mrs. Fred Niedringhaus, blood service secretary for the Red Cross. Instead of the usual eight-bed unit, Santa Ana will work with a 10-bed unit, she said. The larger facilities were obtained to accommodate those donors who had been turned down at the previous bloodmobile. The bloodmobile will be at the American Legion hall in Costa Mesa from 3 to 7 p.m. July 20, and at Orange YMCA from 3 to 7:30 p.m. July 27. There is also a bloodmobile for air facility personnel July 12. In August the bloodmobile will be set up at El Toro for Marines on Aug. 9 and at the Ammunition and Net Depot at Seal Beach from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 14. Westminster is the next Orange county stop for the bloodmobile in August. The unit will be set up in the Presbyterian church from 3 until 7 p.m. Aug. 17. It returns to Santa Ana Aug. 22 and is to be in operation at Community Center clubhouse from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Final Orange county appearance in August is scheduled for Anaheim Aug. 24. CHP SAYS "DIM YOUR LIGHTS" California law requires motorists to dim headlights when approaching another car either from the rear or head-on, says the California Highway Patrol. "Improperly adjusted headlights or failure to depress to the lower beam when approaching another car at night is unlawful and discoureous," declared Patrol Commissioner B. R. Caldwell. "Drivers are urged to have their lights properly adjusted and to use them lawfully at all times," Caldwell said. "If you meet someone who does not lower the beam, do not use your high beam in retaliation. This only adds to the danger by causing both to be blinded at the same time." "The better and safer method is to look to the right side of the pavement ahead and away from the bright lights," he continued.
