On Saturday, June 2, 13 year-old Nancy and about 1500 other 4-H Clubbers from eight Southern California counties will gather on the 450-acre campus of Mt. San Antonio College near Pomona for the seventh annual 4-H regional field day competitions. The field day is jointly sponsored by the college. Bank of America and Agricultural Extension Service of University of California. Competitive demonstrations in agriculture and home economics, agricultural judging and a 4-H Club talent show will be in store for 4-Hers from Santa Barbara, Ventura, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Imperial and Los Angeles counties. First place prizes of $10 will be awarded and 13 4-H Club jackets will be given by the bank to winners in various categories. Individual and team winners will be eligible to compete at the State 4-H convention later this year at Davis campus of University of California. General chairman for the regional field day is A. D. Aulenbacher, 4-H specialist from Agricultural Extension Service. Jesse W. Tapp, chairman of the board of directors of Bank of America, will present the bank's monetary and other awards.
