Teen-Agers to Compete in Annual Road-E-O May 12 Anaheim teen-agers will have the opportunity of winning prizes for outstanding driving ability if they enter the competition in the annual Road-E-O, a highly competitive 'carmanship' scheduled for May 12. Entry blanks are available to any teen-ager who will not be 20 years of age by Aug. 10, 1956, who has a driver's license or permit, or has no record of moving traffic violations in the past six months. These blanks are available at Anaheim High School. The teen-age Road-E-O is a nation-wide project of the national organization of the Junior Chambers of Commerce, including the one in Hawaii. Members of the local Road-E-O committee are: Jack Lacky, screening and eligibility; Harold Lorton, course and equipment; Sparky Atkinson, judging scoring; Bob McElroy, prizes awards; Jerry Rock, publicity participation; and Gale Bevig general chairman. To qualify for the events, ten, oral and driving examinations will be given. The auto loaned for the competition will from Cone Bros. Chevrolet, Coy Motors, and Leavitt Studebaker. The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company has noted the use of a considerable amount of equipment. Prizes for the winners will be cups for the first, second and third places. The national prizes are scholarships of $1,000 and $500, plus an all-purpose paid trip to Washington D.C. Further information may be obtained by calling Gale Bevig at KE 3-1491. Add: Grated rind of 1 orange ½ cup grated orange juice 3 tablespoons lemon juice Cool the custard. Beat until stiff and fold in: 1 cup heavy cream Fold in drained orange bits. Let chill for 1 hour. Spread between layers. To prepare orange bist: Peel three oranges and skin sections, making sure to remove all skin. Chop sections into small bits and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar. Let stand 20 minutes. Drain off all juice and fold into cream custard.
