Ramona Pageant Dates Sef Early preparations are going ahead today for the 29th staging of California's most beautiful outdoor play—the famed Ramona pageant, by the people of Hemet and San Jacinto. The dates for the three week-end showings of the historic drama have been set: Saturday and Sunday afternoons of April and May; April 28 and 29 and May 5 and 6, it is announced. Katella P-TL Have Vacancies In Officer Roster The resignation of Mrs. Charles S. Moon as vice-president and program chairman was accepted with regret at a recent meeting of Katella Parent-Teacher League board meeting. This vacancy is still to be filled, but Mrs. Russell Dungan has accepted the position of California Jobs At New High California posted a new record for total employment as 5,368,000 of the state's residents held jobs in September of this year, it was reported today in figures released by the Economics department of Bank of America. An Overall Increase The total number of people at work in the state in 1955 represented an overall increase of 4.6 per cent in comparison with the same time a year ago when 5,133,000 held jobs. Unemployment in September was 114,000 or 2.6 per cent of the total labor force. The national unemployment figure stood at 3.2 per cent. All industry groups shared the year's growth of job opportunities with manufacturing leading the way. There were 1,202, employed in this field as compared with 1,137,000 a year ago gain of 65,000. Board members voted to supply cups and plates for the end of school Christmas party in the rooms on Dec. 16 when the gift exchanges and programs will highlight the afternoon. Assistance will be given to the immunization clinic to be held at the school on Jan. 4 and Feb. 1. The board reacted favorably to Don Derr's suggestion for a future park cite in the area, and plans were made to get the voters out to the Jan. 31 bond election. Board members felt that the passage of the bonds, while in no way raising present taxes, will be the only way to insure single sessions for local children in years to come. The next P-TL meeting was set for Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. with a social half hour to precede the program and business session.
