She carried a white orchid surrounded by white carnations. Her sister, Mrs. Edgar Howard served as matron of honor. The bridegroom's brother, Glen, was best man. The bride's table was decorated in pink and white at the reception which followed. Hostesses were Miss Marilyn Montgomery, sister of the bridegroom, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Glen Montgomery, and the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas-Alderson. They are making their home at 710 E. ROSY TAX PICTURE HERE "For 1956 Californians face the rosy prospect of no new state taxes," the executive committee of California Taxpayers' association said today. "Looking ahead at California's financial picture for 1956-57, it is clear that the state is much better off today than could even be hoped for a year ago. "At this time last year, it looked like the state general fund would be nearly $70,000,000 short of enough money to meet expenditure commitments for 1955-56. "The legislature sensibly protected the state's credit by providing that any shortage could be met from the state's rainy day fund. "Today it appears that the general fund is in balance. In other words, it will have sufficient revenues to finance the 1955-56 spending program from current receipts—without drawing on the 'rainy day' fund for a single dollar—and with the prospect of a sizable year-end surplus as well. "Continuation of this same situation is indicated in projecting the state's general fund spending and revenues for 1956-57—the problem which the stateLegal will face in March," the payers' executive committee said."
