Traditional German Customs Observed At Wedding Here
A local couple who were educated in Germany observed some of their native German wedding customs when they were married in Zion Lutheran church. The bride is Ina Hertfelder, daughter of Mrs. Ina Hertfelder of 1801 E. Santa Ana St., and the bridegroom is Nickolaus Avemaria, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Avemaria, of 8862 Dahlia Dr.
The Rev. E. H. Pflug officiated. Their wedding reception was held in the Ebell Club. From there they departed on a honeymoon trip to Oregon. Upon their return, the newlyweds will live at 1801 E. Santa Ana St.
Borden-Knutzen Vows Solemnized
In a pretty double ring ceremony in the First Presbyterian church, Joan Sharri Borden became the bride of Stephen Knutzen. The Rev. Roland Anderson conducted the ceremony.
The Lude, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Borden of 806 E. Wilhelmina St., was beautiful in a gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over ice blue satin. Her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Knutzen of 801 Kenway.
Following the formal wedding ceremony, a reception was held in the church patio where a four-tiered wedding cake was cut by the newlyweds.

Vincent A. DeWitt, Pat Sackerson Wed
Vincent Allen DeWitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen DeWitt of this city claimed Patricia Louise Sackerson of Santa Ana as his bride in the Holy Family Catholic church, Orange. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sackerson, a graduate of Mater Dei High School. She has attended Mount St. Mary's college in Los Angeles. The bridegroom is a graduate of Mater Dei High school and attended California Polytechnic Institute at San Dimas. They are honeymooning in northern California.
Lt. Tom Heinz Claims Bride
Lt. Thomas A. Heinz, a member of the U.S. Air Force and son of Mrs. William J. Heinz of 805 Cottonwood Circle, Anahiem, claimed his bride in St. Matthew Catholic church at Long Beach. She is the former Elizabeth Marshall Adamson; daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Frank Adamson of Long Beach.
Lt. Heinz holds a degree in business administration from Loyola University. His bride is an alumnus of University of Hawaii and Rose Mount college in Pennsylvania.
ANNOUNCE BETROTHAL
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Larson of Buena Park have announced the engagement of their daughter, Shirley, to Robert B. Gregg, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Gregg of 324 E. Broadway, Anahiem.
No date has been set for the wedding. Both are graduates of Valencia High school. He is stationed with the Army at Ft. Riley, Kan., and expects to go to Ger-
