Business Show
At Santa Ana
A two-day business equipment show, seven vocational panels, two style shows and other varied program features will be included for Santa Ana College business students, Orange County high school seniors and hundreds of business and professional people during the SAC Business Education Days Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1 and 2.
Walter C. Prill, of Laguna Beach, educational director of the Southern Counties Gas Co., will speak at the final banquet Wednesday evening in the Student Union, with more than 200 high school seniors as guests, including Anaheim. Prill will emphasize the varied careers available in his topic of "Don't Be One Way."
Careers for women will be stressed Tuesday at 8 p.m., during a forum designed for business women, housewives, and career women. With Judge John A. Shea as the moderator, the panel will include Mary F. Allen, placement director for the Southern Counties Gas Co.; Dr. Jessie Graham, business education supervisor for the Los Angeles City Schools; Irma Ferris, Fullerton business woman, and Col. Homer Sterling, Santa Ana City Purchasing Agent.
Three panels for high school seniors have been arranged for Wednesday. The first on "General Business and Public Service" includes John Lutz, Orange County The third panel on "Marketing and Distribution" includes Regional Supervisor Lowell Anderson of the State Department of Education, moderator.
Opening day Tuesday will include a style show for the college assembly and two morning panels then an afternoon for women colleagues and reception for members of the Business Advisory Committee.
Miss Mary Fleckenstein, fifth grade teacher at Benjamin Franklin school, was awarded a life membership in the Parent-Teachers association at the Founder's Day meeting for her many years of service and leadership to local children.
A 5 lb. 2 oz. baby girl was born on Feb. 12 in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Finegan of 249 E. Spruce Drive.
The Leaders club of the Girl Scout Council will meet at the Investment in Youth Building at 7:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 28.
FUCHSIA GROWING IS TOPIC OF ADDRESS
"Are You Serious About Your Fuchsia Growing?" was the topic of Eugene E. Hedrick's address at Tuesday's evening meeting of the California Fuchsia Society, Feb. 22. He gave first hand information on proper methods of pruning, feeding and potting fuchsias the California International Flower Show to be held March 11 to

Marlene Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry R. Fox of 801 Jade Way and a senior at the University of Redlands, has been elected president of the Alpha Theta Phi sorority at Redlands U.
