Paul Women's Relief Corps, and will be assisted by Bessie Leep as seniliar vice-president and Clara Twiford as junior vice-president. Others elected to office were Clara Ballinger, treasurer; Leona Hull, re-elected chapplain; Mary Mitchell, conductor; Mary Fordyce, guard; and Ota Thompson, patriotic instructor. Appointive officers will be announced at the next meeting which is scheduled for Dec. 21. The relief report showed disbursements of, cash, $9.35; other than cash, $18.00; child welfare, $24.20; cards, 136; sick calls- 24; bouquets, 22; funeral sprays, 8; plants, I. Announcement was made that Mary Fordyce had dressed 14 dolls valued at $40.00 which will be distributed to the girls at Arlington Girls Town. This brings a total of gifts for the year to Girls Town to $300.15. Bessie Leep will be hostess to the Social club on Dec. 28 at her home at 210 S. Illinois St. It will be a potluck Christmas party with gift exchange. A new push-button aerosol product, called "Roost-No-More" is better than a cat for keeping birds off the roof. It clings to roosting spots and while harmless to birds, is so disagreeable under foot our feathered friends refuse to light in it.
