Chispa Chapter, OES Honor New Members
It was new members night at Chispa Chapter of Eastern Star meeting last Tuesday when 12 new members were honored. Initiation ceremonies were held for Lou Rideo Pelser. Each of the new members was presented with a gift by Worthy Ma Brown.
Reports of the Graeter meeting in Oakland given by Worthy Ma Brown, and Associate Matron, Margaret Peterson. The evening program a conservation hat parade Anaheim Ikettes.

LOCAL MEDIC 18 HONORED IN CEREMONY
Dr. and Mrs. Erwin H. W. Kersten have returned to their home at 411 N. West St., after a trip to Washington, D.C., where the doctor was honored with membership in the American College of Gastroenterologists. Only one other Californian was so honored in the impressive ceremony held at the Shoreham hotel.
LORETTA LASSLEY TO MARRY NOVEMBER 12
Miss Loretta Lassley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence R. Lassley of 8891 S. Brookhurst, will become the bride of William A. Pixler, son of the Loren Pixlers of Brea in an evening ceremony at a nearby wedding chapel on November 12.
The development of machine tools since the middle of the 19th century has been rapid.
AHUSH Group Dines At Knott's Farm
Seventy members of the AHUSH and their wives recently enjoyed a dinner in the Coach room of Khott's Berry Farm. Seated at the head table were Mr. and Mrs. L. Frank Kellogg, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Demaree, Mr. and Mrs. Whittington, Mrs. Ethel Caverly, Mrs. Schulz, and Miss Bennet.
Mrs. Caverly was presented with a lovely Eisenberg pin by Mrs. Whittington who told of the ways in which the honoree has served the community.
After dinner, the group attended Bird Cage theater.
MAKES DRAMATIC DEBUT AT SANTA ANA EBELL
Miss Rosal Miller of Anaheim, made her dramatic debut recently in "Sight Unseen," given by Santa Ana Community Players at the Ebell Theater, Santa Ana.

A girl was born on Hoag Memorial hospital terian, to Mr. and Mrs. Ramos of 317 W. Santa Anaheim.
Dolores Giardino Sings in Concert
Miss Dolores Giardino will be presented in co-Albert M. Cranston on Nov. 7, at four o'clock at clubhouse. She will be a led by Frances Cowee aded by the Anaheim University school alumni choir under rection of Sheldon Disrion public is cordially invited tend.
The concert will mark appearance of the AUHS choir organized to bring graduates who enjoy music.
Miss Giardino, a graduate AUHS is well known for solo appearances in Orlando and Los Angeles. She her debut in grand operatic leading roll of Mimi in heme."

A girl was born on Oct. 30 in Hong Memorial hospital, Presbyterian, to Mr. and Mrs. Bonaface Ramos of 317 W. Santa Ana St., Anaheim.
Dolores Giardino Sings in Concert
Miss Dolores Giardino, soprano, will be presented in concert by Albert M: Cranston on Sunday, Nov. 7, at four o'clock at the Ebell clubhouse. She will be accompanied by Frances Cowee and assisted by the Anaheim Union High school alumni choir under the direction of Sheldon Disrud. The public is cordially invited to attend.
The concert will mark the first appearance of the AUHS alumni choir organized to bring together graduates who enjoy music.
Miss Giardino, a graduate of AUHS is well known for her many solo appearances in Orange county and Los Angeles. She made her debut in grand opera in the leading roll of Mimi in "La Boheme."
20-30 Anns Prepare Christmas Seals
The Anaheim 20-30 Anns are preparing Christmas seals for Orange County Tuberculosis Association as an autumn project. At their October meeting which followed a dinner at the Dorothy-Wade dinner house, members folded seals in the home of the president, Mrs. John Stewart of Freeway Park.
Further Christmas plans which include gifts to the patients in TB wards at Orange County hospital were discussed. Mrs. Gene Winger was named club secretary during the business session. Birthday honors went to Mrs. Don Runyon.
The city of Trenton, New Jersey, was founded by English settlers in 1685.
