'United Nations' 18 Dinner Theme of Anaheim Altrusans Altrusans followed a United Nations theme at the International Relations dinner meeting at the Elks club on Monday night. One of two joint meetings for the year, it was attended by representatives from chapters in Long Beach, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, Laguna Beach and Fullerton. Marguerite Coons presided. Program co-ordinator Agnes Criss, introduced the special guests, urging all members to strengthen the work of the United Nations. This week has been set aside as United Nations week, she said. International relations chairman, Penny Palin, presented the speaker of the evening, Mrs. Bertram Rowe of Wales, who spoke on "India As I See It." Mrs. Rowe gave a fascinating account of that far eastern country based on the years she lived there while her husband was an official there. The dining room was decorated in red, white, and blue with a flags-of-all-nations centerpiece at the head of the table. The place mats and napkins were obtained directly from the U.
