Real Estate Dealers To Adopt Pledge Real estate boards throughout the country will conduct "Realtor Rededication" ceremonies during the coming weeks to direct attention to a new realtor pledge and to re-emphasize the significance of the word "realtor" to the general public and to the profession. First application of the new realtor pledge of the National Association of Real Estate Boards took place Sept. 21 when the Milwaukee Board of Realtors conducts pledge ceremonies for presently-active and new members. Others will follow. This committee conducted a contest last spring to develop a 75-word pledge to reflect the spirit and feeling of the NAREB Code of Ethics which covers the relations of the 52,000 members of NAREB with the public, their customers, their clients, and their fellow realtors. As a result of the contest, the following realtor pledge will be displayed in offices of realtors throughout the country. It is based primarily on the entry of Frank W. Cortright of Berkeley, who won the contest. I AM A REALTOR 1 Pledge Myself To protect the individual right of real estate ownership and to widen the opportunity to enjoy it; To be honorable and honest in all my deeds; To seek better to represent my clients by building my knowledge and competence; To act fairly towards all in the spirit of the Golden Rule; To serve well my community, and through it my country; To observe the Realtor's Code of Ethics, and conform my conduct to its lofty ideals. Every realtor is a real estate dealer, but not every real estate dealer is a realtor. Only members "LOTTA IS COMING! LEGAL NOTICES ANAHEIM EUCALYPTUS WATER CO.
