DESTINATION GRANDSON BORN IN YOKIHAMA
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Derryberry of 11841 S. Walnut St., have received word that they have become grand-parents of a baby boy, born in a Yokihama (Japan) hospital, to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Derryberry, Jr., named Robert Steven. The baby's father received his discharge from the navy in July and will remain in Japan for another year in U.S. civil service.
An 8 lb. 7 oz. son was born in St. Joseph hospital on Aug. 27 to Mr. and Mrs. Plo DeCasan, 7112 Bluegum street.
It's a girl for Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Malavet of 6341 N. Loara St. The 7 lb. infant was born in St. Joseph hospital on Aug. 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Agullera became the parents of an 8 lb. 2/oz son in Orange County hospital on Aug. 25.

Louise Bamesberger
Mrs. Louise Bamesberger pans away at the Lutheran Home, 31. She was 76 years of age in Germany; she has been a dentist of Anaheim since 1919, at 120 N. Clementine street.
She is survived by her son, ry F. Bamesberger of Anaheim one daughter, Mrs. Clara T man, of Anaheim; two grand dren; one brother, William E of Isaquah, Washington; sisters, Mrs. Mary Schutz of ver. Colo., and Mrs. Lena A of Denver, Colo.
She was a member of Zion Eran church. Funeral services held in the chapel of Backs, Bell & Kaulhars, Sept. 2, at 1 a.m., Rev. E. H. Pflug official Interment was in Anaheim cemetery.
The castor oil plant is a trophy tree native to Africa and Asia.

Louise Jamesberger
Mrs. Louise Jamesberger passed away at the Lutheran Home, Aug. She was 76 years of age. Born Germany, she has been a resident of Anaheim since 1919, living in 220 N. Clementine street.
She is survived by her son, Henri F. Barnesberger of Anaheim; daughter, Mrs. Clara Troutta; two grandchildren; one brother, William Beach Issaquah, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schutz of Den Colo., and Mrs. Lena Achutz Denver. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Backs, Camp and Kaulbars, Sept. 2, at 10:30 Rev. E. H. Pfug officiating. Burial was in Anaheim cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Goodell and children have returned to their home at 147 Evelyn Dr., after a week's visit to Portland, Oregon, via plane.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Neighbors, 932 N. Dickle, returned on Sept. 1 from a two-week vacation spent at Lake Tahoq and Yosemite National Park.
Mrs. William Shanks and four children have returned to their Anaheim home after a visit with Mrs. Shank's mother, in Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Braddock, 619 N. Clementine, have returned home from a visit with their son, Larry, and family, in Seattle, and a 4,000-mile vacation trip to national parks and other highlights of the Pacific Northwest.
The carp, a freshwater fish, introduced into America from Europe is a valuable food fish.
Sidney O. Pellew
Sidney O. Pellew passed away at his home at 14502 E. South St., Aug. 28, 1954. He was 61 years of age. Born in New Jersey. Resident of Anaheim for 18 years. He is survived by his wife Emma M. Pellew of Anaheim; one sister, Mrs. Henry Tuffree of Yorba Linda; a cousin, Viscount Exmouth Pellew of Devonshire, Eng. Member of Masonic, Silver Cord 505, Royal Arch, Santa Ana, Commandery, Santa Ana and El Bekal Shrine, Long Beach.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Backs, Campbell & Kaulbars, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Alec Nichols and the Masonic Lodge officiated. Interment was made in Fairhaven cemetery.
COMPLETE FOUR-MONTH TOUR OF EUROPE
Miss Frieda Janss, 114 N. Janss street and Miss Elizabeth Calmon, 422 S. Illinois, have just completed a four-month tour of Europe which they made with a friend, Mrs. C. M.'Taylor of Long Beach. It was Miss Calnon's first trip abroad and Miss Janet's seventh. The vast changes that have taken place since 1938 are most interesting, Miss Janss reports.
The trio flew to New York, and then aboard the S. S. Homeland, made their way to Gibraltar. They encountered very little summer weather but managed to miss the serious rain storms and floods as they visited Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. A special plane trip to the city of Berlin was one of the highlights of the trip.
The return was made in leisurely fashion aboard a freighter from Bremen, by way of the Panama

Husbands were special guests the Mexican dinner which preceded installation rites. A community sing around the fire pit followed.
