Final Union Services Sunday at Presbyterian
The final union service of this summer series will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Wheat Broadway at Helena street, Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
"The attendance at the evening services this summer," according to Rev. McKinley Walker, President of the Ministerial Association, "exceeded all expectations in numbers bors and in enthusiasm. While we are of several denominations, we are one in spirit and cooperation as the attendance has shown. Each communicant seems to feel that every service was planned for the individual in mind, and in each service he felt at home."
This concluding service will include the Communion Service, which each participant may receive the elements from the hand of his own minister, and therefore will put the interpretation meaning of the Lord's Supper taught by his own church. In this way it will seem as if he is in his own church, yet sharing with others in remembrance of our Lord's Passion.
Special Music
The meditation message will be given by the Rev. Roland Anderson, pastor of the church. Special music by the Chapel Chancel choirs, "Lamb of God," arranged by Christiansen, under the direction of Mrs. George W. Sloop, Jr. with Mrs. Susan Talevich an organist. Rev. McKinley Walker chairman of the Worship committee, will preside.
Mr. and Mrs. William Melaa, 221½ E. Broadway, welcomed with 8 lb. 10 oz. daughter in St. Joseph hospital on Aug. 26.
