B R ANAHEIM GAZETTE Anahiem, Calif., Thurs., Aug. 19, 1854 BONNER TAKES PART IN DEDICATION CEREMONIES Cpl. Bertian R. Bonner of Anahiem, recently took part in dedication ceremonies of a Korean school, tenth and largest project completed under the 7th Infantry Division's Armed Forces Assistance to Korean program. Bonner, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Bonner, 220 Coffman st., is a supply clerk in Company H of the division's 32nd Regiment, which sponsored construction of the six-room primary school at Osan-nl. Legion Auxillary Names Chairmen At the recent meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary, incoming president Verna Hopkins named the following committee chairmen for the new year: Membership, Doris Doetsch; rehabilitation and hospitalization, Elizabeth Baldwin; parliamentarians, Marian Fennell, Audrey Starr and Elvamae Jones; education, Helen Betzold; publicity, Pearl Watters; Pan-Americanism, Josephine Fulfer; legislature, Peggy Boysen; budget, Helen Rommel; auditing, Helen Rommel, Eva Drennan; Girls' State, Nadine Klapper; courtesy, Agnes Hund; past-presidents parley, Louise Johnson. Mrs. Hopkins established that one of the auxiliary aims next year will be censorship of detrimental "comic books" being circulated in town, as a means of combating juvenile crime and delinquency. Retiring president Louise Johnson received her past-president's pin in a nice ceremony with Yuarda Akerman officiating. RECEPTION AT LO.O.F. TEMPLE, SANTA ANA, HELD AUGUST 9 The Ladies Auxiliary and Canton Santa Ana No. 18, Patriarchs Militant held a reception Monday evening, August 9, at Odd Fellows Temple, 309½ N. Main St., Santa Ana, for Mrs. Helen Zincke, Secretary, and Mrs. Ora Horn, Color Guard No. 2, of the Department Association of Ladies Auxillaries of California. Mrs. Zincke is from Fullerton and Mrs. Horn from Anaheim. The next regular meeting of the Catholic women's organization was set for September 14 in the parish hall of Our Lady of Fatima, and reservations are to be made with Mrs. Lampher at KE 5-3998, San Clemente.
