Police dragnet in action. Hundreds of city, county, state and Federal law-enforcement agencies in the West are linked by Pacific Telephone's teletypewriter service. They use it to exchange information on wanted persons, stolen cars, and other urgent matters. Some agencies use our regular teletype service. Others use private networks we provide for them. Working with Western law-enforcement agencies is, of course, another way we serve you. And in this part of our job, as in all others, we try to furnish the best possible service at the lowest possible cost. Pacific Telephone works to make your telephone a bigger value every day.
'Hawaii' Motif of Job's Daughters
Hawaiian Farewell was given to Georgian Ehrle, retiring Honored Queen of Job's Daughters, Bethel No. 5, Presiding at the recent regular meeting. The dining room at the Masonic Temple was transformed into an Hawaiian Beach scene complete with coconut and bannana trees, monkeys and hula girls.

Anaheim Sr. Ebell Installation Ends Present Session
The soft-toned formal gowns of Anaheim Ebell society's new officers helped to make last week's installation ceremonies most colorful and exciting. Mrs. E. D. Knott, George County Federation treasurer, officiated with the theme, "Savant with music." Mrs. George Laflette received the president's travel from retiring president, Mrs. Charles Bush.
Taking their places as party of the "harmonious orchestra" were Mmes. Harry Horn, first vice-president; John Bovee, second vice-president; Emil Mittma, financial secretary; Mark Stephenson, corresponding secretary; Ben Baker, recording secretary; D. Rose, treasurer; Claude Sympson, parliamentarian; Bradford Jones, auditor; Paul Nadorff, curator, and executive directors, Mmes. Joe Thomson, Paul Glibert, H. J. Fackiner, Fred Larsen and Ralph Focht.
Mrs. La Follette in an acceptance speech said that "Fun" would be the theme for the new year—"F" for friendship, "U" for unity, and "N" new endeavors.
During the noon luncheon arranged by the new members, Mrs. Jack Suiter, president of Junior Ebell for the past year, presented the seniors with a silver tea pot as a token of appreciation from the junior club.
Following a routine business session, the membership was entertained by a program of favorite songs by two talented artists known as the Colleviate Duo.
This meeting concluded the club activities until fall.
Mrs. Clyde Spicer, of 10672 Han-sen Manor, an active member of the First Baptist church in Anaheim, spent last week in Redlands where she attended the Southern California Baptist Conference.
