'Hawaii' Motif of Job's Daughters Hawaiian Farewell was given to Georgian Ehrle, retiring Honored Queen of Job's Daughters, Bethel No. 5, Presiding at the recent regular meeting. The dining room at the Masonic Temple was transformed into an Hawaiian Beach scene complete with coconut and bannana trees, monkeys and hula girls. Colorful ceremonies preceded the social hour. Escort honors were given the following visiting dignitaries: Mrs. Iva Owen of El Monte, Past Grand Guardian of the State of California; Miss Sandra Johannes, Past Honored Queen of Bethel 5; Gil Kohler, Worshipful Master of the Anaheim Masonic Lodge; Mrs. Velma Amsbry, Worthy Matron, Scepter Chapter, Orange O.E.S.; Ina Liles, Past Guardian, Anaheim Bethel Initiation rites were held for Phyllis Bradley and June Hutchens. In appreciation for her past year's work, Georgian Ehrle had a Queen song dedicated to her by Sandra Johannes. Miss Johannes was accompanied at the piano by Arvella Letg. Jeri Lee Ehrle presented her sister with an Honored Queen doll with crown, cape and full regalia. Doris Simmons presented Miss Ehrle with the customary gift from the Daughters. Sandra Johannes and Darlene Smith were co-hostesses during the social hour and were assisted by all girls who have joined Job's Daughters during the past six months, and their mothers. Anaheim Sr. Ebell Installation Ends Present Session Marywood School Graduation Held Twelve Anaheim girls were among those who received diplomas at graduation exercises held at Marywood school, recently. They were the Misses Carole Ann Bushman, Judith Agnes Debevee, Ann Fabian, Ruth Marian Gillisple, Paula Jean Lande, Carol Marie Lusin, Carolyn Miller, Marjorie Lucille Monnig, Evelyn Irene Pelle, Cathrine Peltzer, Shirley Anne Schmitz and Carol Cecile Truxaw. The Rt. Reverend George M. Scott, pastor of Mary Star of the Sea, San Pedro, awarded the diplomas and the address was made by the Rev. J. Augustine O'Gorman, pastor of St. Mary church Fuller-ton. A musical program was piled by a choral group accompanied by Miss Ann Fabian at the Miss Sharron Williams a harp and Mrs. Anthony F. at the organ. The American Legion was given to Miss Cathrinizer. Anaheim Sr. Ebell Installation Ends Present Session The soft-toned formal gowns of Anaheim Ebell society's new officers helped to make last week's installation ceremonies most colorful and exciting. Mrs. E. D. Knott, George County Federation treasurer, officiated with the theme, "Savant with music." Mrs. George Laflette received the president's travel from retiring president, Mrs. Charles Bush. Taking their places as party of the "harmonious orchestra" were Mmes. Harry Horn, first vice-president; John Bovee, second vice-president; Emil Mittma, financial secretary; Mark Stephenson, corresponding secretary; Ben Baker, recording secretary; D. Rose, treasurer; Claude Sympson, parliamentarian; Bradford Jones, auditor; Paul Nadorff, curator, and executive directors, Mmes. Joe Thomson, Paul Glibert, H. J. Fackiner, Fred Larsen and Ralph Focht. Mrs. La Follette in an acceptance speech said that "Fun" would be the theme for the new year—"F" for friendship, "U" for unity, and "N" new endeavors. During the noon luncheon arranged by the new members, Mrs. Jack Suiter, president of Junior Ebell for the past year, presented the seniors with a silver tea pot as a token of appreciation from the junior club. Following a routine business session, the membership was entertained by a program of favorite songs by two talented artists known as the Colleviate Duo. This meeting concluded the club activities until fall. Mrs. Clyde Spicer, of 10672 Han-sen Manor, an active member of the First Baptist church in Anaheim, spent last week in Redlands where she attended the Southern California Baptist Conference. Kohne, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Kohne of 608 S. Helena Street, Anaheim. He entered the night Program through the U. S. Naval Air Station, Santa Ana, California. The American Legion award was given to Miss Cathrine Peltborr. Boys Wanted for City Ball League Claire Van Hoorebeke and Jim Heffron will coach the City Recreation department. "AAA" baseball league of boys, 13 to 15 years old. Those interested are invited to sign with the coaches on Monday and Tuesday, June 21 and 22, at La Palma park where the games will be played. Practice will begin Wednesday, June 23, and regular league play will start June 28. Boys in this league will have an opportunity to participate in the Orange County Municipal Midget and Junior Baseball Leagues, as well as the All-City Track meet and Swim meet.
