Four Injured In Collision Wednesday Fortunately for the four victims of Wednesday evening's May 5, traffic accident at the Charles Claudina intersection, were not seriously injured, according to local police headquarters. Promp arrival of the Anaheim officers, and the City fire truck which stood by playing the wreck with water, prevented possible fire due to the spilled gasoline under the second car. Involved were Jonnie Larveeves Lane, 18, of 12438 Lambert Circle, Garden Grove, driving, and her passenger in the front seat, Sherrill Ann Rowland, 18, of 1262 Florida Place, Anaheim. Jonnie Lane is employed as secretary at the Commonwealth Loan Co., N. Los Angeles and Center streets, Anaheim, and Sherrill Rowland has been an employee of Hadley's Bakery for over a year. Both girls were returning home following shopping. The other car was owned and driven by William Irvin Wright, 24, of 1072 Frances street, Garden Grove. His wife, Hilda, 23, accompanied him, and was taken to Anaheim Community hospital by ambulance. Wright walked there for treatment. The Lane car was traveling south on Claudina at an estimated speed of 25 m.p.h., when the accident occurred. The Wright car, a light green four-door sedan, turned completely over and remained on its top, reported completely demolished. New Members Executive Board Lincoln P-TA New members of the Executive Board of the Lincoln School Parent-Teachers' Association were honored by the members of the old board at a 12 o'clock pot lucia luncheon, Tuesday, May 4, in the city park. Mrs. Ben Wright, retiring president was presented a gift in appreciation of her work the past year by Mrs. Jack Polley, newly-elected president, on behalf of the retiring Executive Board. Newly-appointed Board members present were: Mrs. Jack Polley, president; Mrs. William Fricker, vice-president; Mrs. Byron Fults, secretary; Mrs. Alvin Rogers, treasurer; James Hull, auditor. ANNUAL MOTHER-DAUGHTER DESSERT ENJOYED The annual mother-daughter dessert recently held at the with Nan Moore and Reyner Wallace sharing chairmen dutiful was a pleasant social affair for local teenagers and their mothers. Mary Lou Casebeer and Larry Haskins led a community service which was followed by "The Deert Song" and "Stranger in Paradise" by soloist Carol Rutledge. Guest speaker was Mrs. Malibu Ives, well-known Anaheim collector, who brought many of her interesting dolls and to their histories. The tea tables were judged for their decorations. The Live-Win table, "Cinderella" was awarded the prize for most timely. The Chi Phi club won the prize for most original. Most beautiful wished the table done by the Parish Council. BIRTHS A 7-lb. 61oz baby boy was born on April 30 in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Rolf Ludwig of 625 N. Hawthorne Ave. The Kenneth Moy's announce with pride the birth of a 7-lb. 11-oz. baby girl in St. Joseph hospital on April 30. The Moy family resides at 216 Carlyn Way. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stout of 2084 Catalina Ave., welcomed an 8-lb. 4-oz baby boy in St. Joseph hospital on April 27. Mr. and Mrs. William Chastain, 6622 Richfield Rr., announce with pride the birth of a 5-lb. 3-oz. baby boy in St. Joseph hospital on May 2. It's a boy for Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Meyrick of 121 N. Placentia street. Their baby checked into St. Joseph hospital on May 2 with a birthweight of 7-lbs. 3-oz. The AUHS Junior Prom will be held this year on June 12 at the Santa Ana Country Club. The bride, the former Mary Elizabeth Stanfield, is the daughter of Mrs. Ella F. Stanfield, 1630 E. Sycamore St., and the late Clarence M. Stanfield. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Roger Murray of New Haven. Miss Stanfield was given in marriage by her brother Lin-law, William E. Woolery, and was a lovely bride in a traditional gown on white nylon tulle and Chantilly lace over satin. An embroidered tiara held a fingertip veil and she carried a white orchid and stephanotis arranged with a prayer book, the gift of the bridegroom. Matron of honor in a willow rose taffeta gown of nylon net of satin was the bride's sister. Mrs. W. E. Woolery. She carried aqua carnations on a prayer book. Clad in matching aqua gowns were flower girls Mary Kathleen Woolery and Linda Elizabeth Cornwall. The bridegroom was attended by Robert Flynn and ushers were Oliver Stanfield, Wayne Stanfield (cousins of the bride), Oakley Waite and Jim Begs. A reception followed at Capilla de San Antonio. Pre-Nuptial Shower For Joanne Carter An afternoon tea and pre-nuptial shower was held recently in the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Larson of N. Clementine St., to honor Miss Joanne Carter who became the bride of Nicholas Joseph Monti last Saturday in St. Boniface church. Gifts were placed under a pastel parasol which was a pretty table centerpiece, and streamers extending from the parasol were tied with a corsage for each guest. Party hostesses were three close friends of the bride, Miss Imogene Larson, Mrs. Denis Cushing and Miss Mary Jean Bushman. The afternoon was devoted to games and prizes went to Mrs. Herbert Carter, mother of the guest of honor, Mrs. Richard Tozer and Mrs. Jan Spykerman. Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Salness of 716 S. Ohio street, spent the week end at Laguna Beach. Panhellenic Gave Scholarships Sun Panhellenic Gave Scholarships Sun. Miss Avis Jorgenson of Anaheim Union High school and Miss Marilyn Ballinger of Fullerton Junior college were each the recipient of a $250 scholarship award given on Sunday by the Northern Orange County Panhellenic association. The awards were made at the annual tea given at the home of Mrs. Coalson Morris, 708 N. West street. The pretty informal affair had some of the aspects of a college rush tea and was attended by 120 students of northern Orange County high schools and junior colleges who have announced intentions of going on to higher institutions of learning. Greet Past-Presidents Past presidents of the Panhellenic association greeted guests at the door and members of the Board poured at the tea table. Other members of the association acted as hostesses throughout the afternoon. Co-Chairmen of the tea were Mrs. George Kipe and Mrs. Miles Engles. A scholarship committee composed of Esther Hatch, Fay Spencer and Cynthia Rainey were deluged with applications from well qualified students and had a difficult time making their choice. Miss Jorgenson plans to continue her musical education at UCLA while Miss Ballinger will study for a career in education at Santa Barbara.
