A Reminder to Remember Drive of Salvation Army
Anaheim residents are urged to keep the Salvation Army in mind when disposing of "out-of-use" articles uncovered in closets and garages in spring cleaning.
These articles will be sought during the annual Salvation Army Salvage Week campaign here May 24-29, it was pointed out by O. H. Renner, chairman of the citizens committee assisting in the drive.
Reconditioned in workshops of the Salvation Army Social Service Center which serves this area, the articles will make possible a social rehabilitation program which aids needy and handicapped men.
The center last year provided an all-time high of 261,640 hours of occupation therapy, 58,704 meals and 19,092 lodgings. Thousands of dollars worth of food, clothing and household articles also want directly to needy families.
The center has continuous need for discarded but still usable equipment.
