To Sponsor Show The Orange County Dairy Goat Association will sponsor a Spring Show to be held at Irvine Bowl Park in Laguna Beach on Sunday May 16, with Wm. Johnson, show superintendent and James D. Pembrook acting as judge. This show is open to all, with separate 4-H and FFA classes. Entry fees will be 35¢ per goat entered for 4-H and FFA and 50¢ per entry in the open classes. Both grade and purebred does may be shown, ages ranging from Jr. kids to older milking animals. No bucks will be accepted as entries. Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m., and entry blanks will be available at the show grounds the same morning. Also,, entry blanks may be obtained prior to show day by contacting any member of the association. Ribbons will be awarded to third place and lots of prizes given. Colored Film Shown Carriers' Auxiliary A colored film depicting the work being done on cerebral palsy was shown the members of the Letter Carriers' Auxiliary No. 1404, by William Sandon, president of the Orange County United Cerebral Palsy association. Mrs. William Kruse, Orange-thorpe Manor was hostess for the group which met Tuesday evening. Mrs. Charles Kelly is Auxiliary president. The members of this auxiliary are planning to serve hot coffee and doughnuts to local postmen participating in the coming "Postman's Walk" slated for the near future. See us for Bulova, Elgin, or Gruen 3—ANAHEIM GAZETTE Thursday, April 8, 1954 Anaheim, California Church Wedding For Barbara Trapp William Champion The sanctuary of Zlon Lutheran church was tastefully decorated with spring flowers and yellow candles on Saturday evening April 4, for the marriage of Miss Barbara Jean Trapp and William Charles Champion. The Rev. E. H. Pflog officiated at the double ringer service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Trapp, Jr. of 8611 Rio Vista St., and her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lariviere of Sacramento. Given in marriage by her father, Miss Trapp was gowned in new lon tulle and lace over satin with a graceful sweeping train. She wore a fingertip veil held in place by a tiny half-cap, and carried a bouquet of white orchids and lies of the valley. As part of her costume, she carried an heirloom handkerchief of delicate lace, gift of her maternal grandmother, the late Mrs. John Kahlen, Sr., and early resident of Anaheim. Bridal attendants were married of honor Mrs. Floyd Trapp or O'range and bridesmaids Mrs. Lloyd Trapp and Mrs. Henry Bryant or Anaheim. They wore matching gowns of lavender tulle and lace over taffeta and carried nosegay of yellow jonquils. In the role of flower girl was little Miss Mara Prohow and Kenneth Davis was ring bearer. For the honeymoon trip, the new Mrs. Champion wore a three-piece suit of bright melon shawl with white accessories. A graduate of Anaheim Union high school she is currently leading a group. Her husband attended his school in East St. Louis, Illinois and has taken courses at several local colleges. Both are employed at Reems Mf'g Co., in Downie where they met. The newlyweds plan to make their first home in Anaheim. Hedstrom Appointee On CTAR Committee George Hedstrom, chemist teacher at Anaheim Union High School, has been appointed to the California Teachers Association Retirement Committee, according to word received here today. The committee is charged with the responsibility of conducting constant studies of the adequacy of the state teachers retirement system and recommending legislative action in connection with teachers' retirement. AUXILIARY NOMINATIONE Marywood Auxiliary will hold nominations and election of officers for the coming year at meeting scheduled for 8 p.m., at the school on Tuesday, April 11 Members are reminded and urged to attend.
