Converts Cannery Into Warehouse Hunt Foods, Inc., will convert its Campbell, California plant from a Cannery to a Warehouse, as a result of progress made at Hayward and Fullerton in connection with a plant modernization program, Irving Goldfeder, vice-president and chairman of the executive committee, told production executives attending Hunt's annual operating conference here today. At Hayward and Fullerton, Hunt has, during recent years, integrated the can producing lines of the United Can and Glass Company with its own canning lines. Since it is Hunt's intention to operate Campbell as a major warehouse, several of the relatively few employees involved will continue on in the warehouse operations. Mr. Goldfeder also explained that other Campbell employees will be offered opportunities in Hunt plants in other communities.
