Matron Honored At Two Showers Friends and relatives gathered on two occasions this past week to honor Mrs. Dan Allec of 13962 E. Orangewood ave., with blessed event showers. The first was at the Whittler home of Mrs. Raymond Trosh. Co-hostesses for the delightful affair were Mrs. Wayne McDowell and Mrs. J. Stockert of Whittier and Mrs. Marion Kemp of Eagle Rock. The evening was spent playing appropriate shower games. At refreshment time, the 20 guests gathered around a bassinet heaped high with gifts and offered good wishes as Mrs. Allec opened the packages. On Saturday night, Mrs. Allec shared shower honors with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Leon Allec Santa Ana, at the home of Mr. Mary Reisé in Whittier. Assistants with hostess duties was Mrs. Melanson of San Bernardino. To carry out the shower then the hostesses served individual stork ice cream molds, and can decorated with blue booties.
