Second of Hall Series
Fair sized group of Anaheim makers took a brief vacation from home-making chores on Wednesday morning to hear Mrs. Greer Scarborough review of the season's newest and reading.
According to city librarian Miss Elma Mettler, it was the second fall series of book reviews to the public without obligation on the first Wednesday of month. Coffee was served at Audrey May Ricker Wedded to Irwin Lamar Smith on Saturday
Audrey May Ricker exchanged marriage vows with Irwin Lamar Smith in St. Boniface church on Saturday morning in hiptical rites performed by the Rev. Father Casey.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ricker of 11362 S. Harbor Blvd., the bride was given in marriage by her father. She was radiant in a traditional wedding gown of nylon net over taffeta which swept the floor. A three-quarter length veil was caught with a tiara of rhinestones and the white wedding bouquet was arranged on a white prayer book.
Miss Ricker was attended by her sister, Beverly, as maid of honor and by a close friend, Miss Harlene Heitmiller, as bridesmaid.
The attendants wore pastel formal gowns of a style closely following the bridal ensemble, having tight fitting bodice, bouffant skirt and low cut neckline. Each carried a harmonizing bouquet.

Family Night Held At Zion Lutheran
Family night last Wednesday was enjoyed by more than 75 members of Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. Edwin Pfug led a discussion of the revised standard version of the Bible. This was followed by two colored films: "Song of Ruth," an account of missions in Guatemala; and "Tammy," the story of a child who found faith in spite of the fact that her parents no longer believed in God.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Smith of Garnett, Kansas. Lawrence Ricker, the bride's uncle, attended him as best man. His parents were unable to attend the wedding.
Mrs. A. E. Faust was at the organ to play the wedding music.
After the nuptial rites, a reception attended by 65 relatives and close friends was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ricker of Huston ave. After cutting the wedding cake, and receiving best wishes from those assembled in their honor, the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith left on a two week honeymoon. Their destination was kept secret.
The bridegroom is on a 30-day leave from the U.S. navy where he holds the rank of MM3. He attended school in Westphalia, Kansas. His bride graduated from AUHS in the class of '52 and is employed by the Anaheim branch of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph company.
Three Hallowe'en Babies Born Here
Undeterred by the witches, goblins and ghosts that sallied forth on Hallowe'en, Mr. Stork had a busy night. As a result, the following newcomers to Anaheim claim October 31 for their birth date:
A baby boy weighing 6 lbs. 10½ oz., born to Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Daniel, 414½ N. Olive st., in Santa Ana Community hospital.
A 7 lb. son born in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gastelum, 863 S. Olive st.
And last but by no means least was the son born in St. Joseph hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wright of 14621 E. North st.
