Registration for Education Classes
Registration for the fall semester of the adult education classes
Anaheim Union High School was set for Monday, Sept. 10 to 9 p.m. Registration forms be available in the main office of the high school. All interested sons are asked to sign up at time.
A variety of classes are offered include textile painting on Thursdays with Mrs. Carter, instructress. Ceramics porcelain classes will be taught by Mrs. Hoskins Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Alden will conduct a class lamp shade making Tuesday Thursday.
On Wednesdays, Mrs. Harrell will teach rug-making; Mrs. Wilson will teach new craft. A course in parent observation will be conducted Mrs. Green each Thursday. Tuesdays, Mrs. Burnham will duct a class in cake decorating also, Mrs. Abbott will have a flower arrangement.
Other courses will be of general interest.

Registration for AUHS Fall Adult Education Classes set for Sept. 21
Registration for the fall sessions of adult education classes at Anaheim Union High School is set for Monday, Sept. 21, 7:39 p.m. Registration forms will be available in the main office of the high school. All interested persons are asked to sign up at that time.
A variety of classes are to be offered include textile painting Thursdays with Mrs. Carpen-instructress. Ceramics and acclain classes will be taught Mrs. Hoskins Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Mrs. Ben will conduct a class in top shade making Tuesday and Thursday.
On Wednesdays, Mrs. Harrison teaches rug-making; also, Wilson will teach needle-t. A course in parent-child conservation will be conducted by Green each Thursday. On Saturdays, Mrs. Burnham will conduct a class in cake decoration; Mrs. Abbott will have a class flower arrangement. Other courses will be offered.
General Tells Need of USO Camp Shows Overseas
If sufficient interest is shown. A minimum of 15 students is required to form a class.
A wood shop class will meet on Monday and Wednesday with Mr. Ryan and Mr. Messamer as instructors.
In addition to the above courses the following classes will be sponsored by the Industrial committee men of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce as a part of the adult education program. Those interested may register at the first meeting of the class in the classroom Registration starts Monday, Sept. 21, on the AUHS campus.
Mr. Ashworth will instruct a class in Tool and Die I on Monday and Wednesday; Mr. Bruce will teach a course in statistical Quality Control II on Monday and Wednesday; and Mr. Daily will have a class in Inspection II on Tuesday and Thursday.
Courses in blueprint reading, shop mathematics and free-hand sketching will be given by Mr. Downs on Tuesday and Thursday. Mr. Holm will be the instructor for Statistical Quality Control I on Monday and Wednesday. Machine Shop Tool and Die II will be offered on Monday and Wednesday with Mr. Mangis as teacher. Mr. Musser will conduct a course in Basic Inspection I on Monday and Wednesday.
Machine Operations I will be taught by Mr. Robertson on Tuesday and Thursday. Mr. Sied will instruct in manufacturing
Two Anaheimers Return Home
LONG BEACH, Calif. (FHTNC)
—Scheduled to return here Sept. 11 aboard the heavy cruiser USS St. Paul after a tour of duty in Korean waters were Navy Lt. Cdr. James W. Cummins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus C. Cummins of 14291 Wagner rd., Anaheim, Calif., and husband of the former Miss Roland M. Findley of Buena Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony M. Rios of 1302 West Lincoln, Anaheim.
The St. Paul spent several months on the "bomb line" and took part in numerous shore bombardments. The cruiser received a direct hit by enemy shore batteries which knocked out one of the ship's guns.

Calif. Motorists To Pay Additional Revenue to State
Californians paid $120,154,000 in motor vehicle registration fees and special motor carrier taxes in 1952, according to the National Automobile club. Thus California continued last year to lead the nation in motor tax revenue. The state's revenue took another jump last week as Californians prepared to lay more cash on the line.
Fees were doubled to two dollars on Sept. 9 for transferring titles, for installing engines, for filing chattel mortgages, and for duplicate registrations or license plates. The penalty for delinquent payment of the transfer fee also jumped to two dollars.
