His sermon topic will be "Invitation to Live" Dr. Fagerburg is a graduate of the Andover Newton Theological School and has received doctor's degrees from the University of Southern California and the University of Redlands. From 1930 to 1952 he was the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Board of Managers of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society, member of the Board of Managers of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society, member of the Board of Trustees of the Berkeley Baptist Divinity School, member of the Protestant Film Commission and was president of the Church Federation of Los Angeles 1849-1951. Books written by Dr. Fagerburg include The Sin of Being Ordinary, This Questioning Age, and Is This Religion? S. F. Agnes Smith Enters Convent Miss Agnes Smith of N. Zeyn st., joined the Dominican convent, Mission San Jose recently. She entered as a postulant on August 1. She was accompanied to San Jose by Mrs. Mary Betzold and her daughter Alice, and Mrs. Nora Harkins and her daughter Catherine. Miss Smith is a recent convert to Catholicism having been received into St. Boniface church less than three and a half years ago. She has been employed in Anaheim as traffic supervisor of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. Grandmother of Anaheimers Dies Mrs. Adella Gail McFarland, grandmother of Ruth Ann Toland and M. Tolf of Anaheim, died Sunday in a Whitfield sanatarium following a brief illness. A native of Indiana, Mrs. McFarland had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Ruth M. Tolf, in Taft. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jennie Lutz of Michigan; two other grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Hilgenfeld chapel yesterday with the Rev. Frank Butterworth, pastor of Wh Temple Methodist church officiating.
