Anaheim Girls Participate in Aquacade of 1953 Held Friday
In the Aquacade of 1953 presented by the Children's League of Fullerton at Sunny Hills Ranch on Friday evening, Anaheim was well represented by swimmers Carol Fitz and Marie Vincent. They represented the Anaheim Recreation Department.
The talented duo gave an exhibition of water baflet and precision swimming to the musical strains of "Moulin Rouge." Their performance was very well received at each of the three exhibitions held during the evening.
The girls were moving in fast company since the program was comprised entirely of national champions in diving and swimming events.
In an exclusive interview with Pat McCormick, national A. A. U. Women's diving champion from Long Beach, the Anaheim Gazette learned that she will not go into semi-retirement as previously announced, but will stay in training for the next Olympic games. The blond, muscular Pat's vivacious personality captures the audience almost completely as does her faultless diving from both the high platform and the springboard. She feels that she will reach her peak of performances within the next couple of years.
Pat won the top honors in women's diving at the 1952 Olympics held in Helsinki.

Out-of-Town Guests Feted at Brunch
Mrs. Harry Nutt, 904 W. Broadway, gave a "geranium brunch on Monday to honor the hour guests of Mrs. John Wood and Mrs. Howard Tews. Guests of honour or were Inez Bullington of Little Rock, Ark., visiting Mrs. Wood for the past six weeks, and Mrs. Rivas of New York City, Miss Grace Donnan of Mill Valley and Mrs. John Walkley of Mill Valley who came to Anaheim for the wedding of Norma Jean Tews and David D. Walkley.
The delightful affair was termed "geranium" because the table was decorated with red geraniums and the theme was carried out with table appointments entirely in red and white, highlighted by Mrs. Nutt's antique milk glass.
The brunch made a pleasant climax for the visits and the guest of honor left Anaheim immediately after for their respective homes.

Unless you've actually driven a Pontiac with Dual-Range Performance*, you can't appreciate how nimbly it handles in traffic and how economically it cruises the open road with plenty of power to spare. Add to Pontiac's plus-performance its distinctively beautiful styling, its luxurious interior appointments, and you have a car that matches any on the road.
When you can get all this at a price only a few dollars above the lowest, it's obvious that Pontiac is the best buy of all, from any standpoint.
