WHITE SOCIETY EDITOR Phone 7515 Dolores Sehr Wedded to Ralph Ofis Clark at Zion Lutheran Wearing a floor length gown of Quantilly lace and tulle over white satin, Dolores Joan Sehr was a vision of loveliness for her wedding to Ralph Otis Clark at Zion Lutheran church on Wednesday evening. Her finger-tip veil was held in place by a petrified crown and she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley, stephanolis and white orchids. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert F. Sehr of 7122 E. Lincoln avenue and was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. John Wiese of Downey and Dr. Ralph O. Clark of Oklahoma City. The double ring service was performed by the Rev. H. E. Pflug before an altar banked with white gladioli and stock. At maid of honor, Miss Lorraine Sehr wore a floor length gown of pale green net over deep green iridescent taffeta and carried pink gladioli. The bridesmaids were Miss Joan Campbell and Miss Joan Weber who wore similar garments of lighter shades of green and carried bouquets of pink gladioli. Reading Clinic For Children Opens June 29 For children who are having trouble in learning to read, the Thompson reading clinic opens June 29 at the Anaheim union high school. Organist was Olive Kempin. Mrs. Sehr was dressed in a floor length gown of pink lace accentuated by a corsage of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Wiese wore a green floor length gown and a corsage of lavender gladioli. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Capilla de San-Antonio. Mrs. Johnny Kotnik was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Irwin Nickle Installed Prexy Of Magnolia Club Mrs. Irwin Nickle of 8732 So. Stanton ave., has been re-elected president of the Magnolia Study club and was installed in office in the annual ceremonies held on June 17 at the home of Mrs. Andrew F. Minder, 411 S. Citron st. The theme of the ceremonies was denoted by a lyre outlined in blue daisies and gold hibiscus to signify peace and harmony. The club's five elective officers were represented by five golden strings. Officers seated with Mrs. Nickle were Mrs. Ada Felbaum, vice-president for second term; Mrs. Ole V. Weaver, secretary for second term; Mrs. Eric Winger, treasurer, and Mrs. Edgar Carson, parliamentarian. The officers were installed by Mrs. Lewis C. McBratney. Following the business meeting, refreshments were served by hostesses Mrs. P. C. Huddleston and Mrs. Felbaum who aided Mrs. Minder. The club, which limits its membership to 30 and which has been meeting for the past 26 years, traditionally vacations during July and August. Their parents recently staged a garden party with a gay carnival theme to honor the birthdays of Bunnie Susan, 7, Myra Louise, 5, and Joseph Edison, 1. The children were entertained by a 12-horse merry-go-round, toy clowns, animals and balloons. Adults were amused by the carnival booth set up on an adjoining lot. A huge birthday cake bore the names of all three children and at refreshment time was accompanied by ice cream co- punch. Reading Club Slates Word Rocket Trips "Out of This World" is the theme of the Anaheim Junior Library's vacation reading club. Rocket trips via books are scheduled each day and a library card is the passport according to Miss Elva Haskett, librarian. The reading club is scheduled to run from June 13 through Aug. 15. Library hours are from 1 to 9 p.m. through the week and from 9 a.m. on Saturdays. The popular story hour will begin on June 30 and will be held each Tuesday thereafter at 2 p.m. Surprise Party Honors Miss Abbott Mrs. Pruella Abbott of the Abbott School of Floristry was given a surprise party recently by members of the Anaheim Union High School Adult class which has been meeting regularly on Tuesday evenings to study flower arrangement.
