Mrs. Charles Bush Installed as President of Anaheim Ebell Club Mrs. Charles Bush became the 42nd president of the Anaheim Ebell club at a luncheon climaxing the year's club activities. She received the gavel from retiring president Mrs. Joe Thompson who has guided the local organization through a most successful season. Youth Fellowship Holds Taco Dinner The Youth Fellowship of the First Presbyterian church of Anaheim met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Sloop Jr., 531 N. Zeyn for a taco supper, Sunday evening following the Baccalau-reate service. After the supper hour the meeting was opened with a singspiration. Rev. Howard S. Congdon gave a brief devotional message. Conference reports were given and the meeting concluded with the singing of the Westminster fellowship hymn. Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Holiday assisted in serving and making arrangements for the get-together. Those present were: Rev. and Mrs. Howard S. Congdon and Stewart, Dr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Stevenson, Rachel Cadwalader, John Earle, Carol Fitz, Marcus Gartner, Dorothy Gosnell, Harriet Hoffner, Mamie Hodges, Marilee Holiday, Phyllis Kirchman, Diane Knutsen, Janet Larson, Joan McFarland, Kenneth Palmberg, James Pearson, Edward Rickle, Patricia Roberts, Bernafrd Sloop, Conrad Sloop, John Vale and Philip The impressive installation ceremonies were conducted by Mrs. E. H. Smith of Orange, state federation chairman of religion, during the regular meeting held on Monday, June 1 at the Ebell clubhouse. Colorful decorations which followed the theme, "Paint-ing a Picture," a stage banked high with white gladioli, chiffon daisies and Madonna lilies, and the pretty pastel gowns worn by the officers blended with the installation ceremonies to make the occasion the most memorable of the year by those attending. Officers installed with Mrs. Bush were Mrs. George La Pollette, first vice-president; Mrs. H. P. Tobin, second vice-president; Mrs. Claude Sympson, recording secretary; Mrs. John Bovee Jr., corresponding secretary; Mrs. Leroy Ater, treasurer; Mrs. Mack Stephenson, financial secretary; Mrs. Bradford Jones, auditor; Mrs. Paul Davidson, parliamentarian; Mrs. Fred Larsen, Mrs. Ralph Focht, Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. Ollie Lear, Mrs. W.E. Whiteman and Mrs. Joe Thompson, trustees. Luncheon hostesses were a committee of twenty-seven new members headed by Mrs. Ben Baker and Mrs. James Reinert. Donald James Campbell, suffragan bishop of Los Angeles, will be host to Episcopal scouts at the jamboree in the absence from the diocese of Bishop Francis Eric Bloy. Officiating with Bishop Campbell at the Holy Communion services will be the Rt. Rev. R. Heber Gooden, bishop of Panama; the Rt. Rev. Freck Clark, bishop of Kootenay, Canada and the Rt. Rev. Stephen Fielding Bayne, Jr., of Olympia Wash. Aircraft warning spotters are critically needed now in the volunteer GOC Call Placentia 660 ING arrangements for the get-together. Los Angeles St. — Anaheim Phone Anaheim 2409 Fuilerton Church Choirs Combine To Present Concert of Sacred Music Repeating a singularly successful sacred concert given less than two weeks ago, the Coronation choir of the First Baptist church and the Chancel choir of the First Christian church of Fullerton, joined forces on Sunday evening to present another musical program that was enthusiastically received by a large audience at the Fullerton Baptist church. Albert M. Cranston, well-known Anaheim voice teacher and former opera star, directed the Chancel choir in cooperation with Louis Chambre who conducted the Coronation choir. Organist was Edwin Bridgeford and pianist was Elizabeth K. Lyons, organist of Placentia Calvary church. Gladys Peckham started the program with the organ prelude, "Larghetto Religioso" by Rickolson. This was followed by Neidlinger's "Silent Sea" done by the combined choirs and soloist Jean Maehr. "How Lovely are Thy Dwellings" by Liddle was the title of a soprano solo by Margaret Taylor. The choirs again united for "Almighty God of Our Fathers" by James. A male quartet gave "Beyond the Sunset" by Brock. Members of the quartet were: 1st tenor, Whit Cromwell; 2nd tenor, Louis Chambre; baritone, Charles C. Kohlenberter and bass, Don Knowlton. Other selections by the combined choirs were, "Now Thank We All Our God" by Mueller and "The Beatitudes" by Evans. Ruth Kenyon presented a soprano solo called "Consider and Hear Me." Elizabeth K. Lyons played a piano solo, "Jesus Be Thou My Joy" by Bach. After a message on the subject, "Things That Never Change," by Rev. Ernest A.
