Lyle Wallace Takes Toaster Speech Trophy "What is it?" was the topic of the talk with which Lyle Wallace won the Toastmaster trophy at Monday night's meeting of the Anaheim Toastmasters club at Knott's Berry farm. Other speakers were Bill Bittie, "Atomic Energy," Hal Johnson, "Feed Your Dog Right" and Mel Mungerack, "Sound and Speech." Sitting in judgment on the speakers as evaluators were Britt Gray, chairman, R. J. Allen, Bill Chambers, Ray Damerell and Jack Stringer. President Lewis Boys presided over the meeting with Guy Tester handling the Toastmaster's duties. Bob Dickey conducted the table topic discussion on the subject "On the Spot." Frank Sallee gave the invocation. Visitors included Forman True of Anaheim and James Dickey, son of the table topic chairman for the evening. Next meeting will be June 8, 6:30 p.m. in the Dragon cafe. Rules Released Governor Of Queen of 1953 Orang Plans are announced this week for the county-wide contest for selecting a high school girl to reign as Queen of the 1953 Orange County Fair, August 11-16, inclusive, at the fairgrounds between Santa Ana and Newport Beach. Elimination contests in some of the county's 12 high school districts are now going on with others expected to get underway soon for the completion early in July, according to Fair Manager Bob Fullenwinder. Civic organizations or similar groups will again be invited to sponsor each elimination. A former Queen of the County Fair was Virgilson, now a senior at Oral School. Unbiased and competent judges will be secured for the final contest and judging will be based upon personality, poise, beauty and character with the same emphasis able to compete in the finals arrangements for which are now being worked out with the time and date to be announced later. The contestant chosen Queen will be a guest of the Orange County Fair during the entire six days of the event and will be chaperoned by members of the Queen Contest committee.
