Members of the board of trustees, under the chairmanship of Jerry Schiller are: Rappe, Johnson, Kaminsky, and Miller.
Following are the tentative rules for the ABC-sanctioned Bowlathon:
1. Starting date, Apr. 24, 7 p.m.
2. Ending date, Apr. 26, at 7 p.m.
3. Entry closing date, Apr. 21, at 12 mid-night.
4. Prize Fee, $100; Contest Expense Fee, $50; Bowling Fee, 35c per line.
5. Prize fee will be returned 100% in prizes.
6. Only persons permitted to enter contest will be made members of the American Bowling Congress.
7. Number of contestants will be limited to five per alley. (Fifty entries in a ten-alley house.)
8. Two persons will be permitted on each pair of alleys to act as "prompters" to the bowlers.
9. Time breaks will be made every two-and-one-half hours, according to a time schedule set up by the rules committed, to permit the shifting and balancing of the contestants still remaining in the contest.
10. Fifteen prizes will be awarded on the highest fifteen accumulated scores, regardless of any other factor. Total pins take top money and thus on down through fifteen places. In the event of ties, prize money for the places tied will be added together and split evenly.
11. No contestant will be compelled to bowl for 48 consecutive hours in order to be eligible for a prize. Further, a contestant may drop out of the contest at any time he feels that his accumulation of pins is high enough to finish in the first fifteen places.
12. Contestants will always shift to the next highest numbered pair of alleys before being balanced. About balancing; at the start of each time shift, no pair of alleys will have more than one contestant in excess of any other pair of alleys.
13. Bowler will receive a zero for the frame in which he is not in the alley to bowl when his turn comes. In the event a bowler is zeroed in 11 consecutive frames, he is automatically eliminated from further bowling in the contest. His score, however, stands for the final computing toward accumulated pins and if his score places him in the first 15 places, he is entitled to that prize money.
14. A referee will be appointed by the committee on rules and forms. The Bill Hunstock-coached aggregation ended their season with a highly respectable 22 and 5 win and loss record.
While Coach Hunstock gathered the uniforms, baseball Coach John Wallin stood by ready to issue baseball togs to five of the hardwood stars. Four of these basketeers represented three fourths of his infield and a starting centerfielder. To prove they were necessary on the diamond, the boys climbed into their new uniforms and with only one day's practice broke into the lineup and proceeded to give Anaheim their first victory on the hardball diamond for the current season, as they downed Whittier, 7-2.
With basketballers Dave Moody, Dennis Ryan, Gale Herbel and George Bishop in the line-up, the locals climbed aboard the wagon as they clubbed the Whittier hurler for eight safeties and seven big runs! Meanwhile Paul Grover, one of John Wallin's southpaw chuckers, was holding the lads from Whittier to five hits and only two runs.

The Los Alamitos quintet will, unless something unforeseen takes place, represent Southern California in the National A.A.U. finals to be held later in the year at Denver.
14. A referee will be appointed by the committee on rules and that referee's decision will be considered final.
