Billy Graham and Joe Giardello Settle Fued Tonight in Garden TV HOLLYWOOD — One of the greatest ring rhubarb in recent boxing history figures to be settled once and for all tonight on NBC-TV when the telecast from Madison Square Garden features the third meeting between Billy Graham and Joe Giardello during "Cavalcade of Sports." These talented welterweights first hooked up on Aug. 4, 1952, with Giardello gaining a split decision. They next met on Dec. 19, this meeting precipitating a ruckus that actually went as far as the supreme court. Following the unpopular split decision to Giardello, Commissioner Bob Christenberry immediately called the decision unofficial and, after changing Judge Joe Agnello's card, gave the victory to Graham. Giardello went to court. On Feb. 17, Judge Bernard Botelnin of New York Supreme Court, reversed the reversal. Giardello thereby gained one of the most delayed victories in sports history. Graham, who owns one of the best lefts in the business, has been a pro since 1941 and has won 99 out of 117 bouts. On the other hand, the 22-year-old Giardello is fast, industrious and dangerous. He has won 41 of 55 bouts with five draws. This should make excellent TVviewing for sports fans, for in this case both axes will enter the ring "with an axe to grind." PREDICTION ... More than 100,000 pieces of mail have been sent to the CBS owned television station, KNXT, Channel 2, here in order to settle the controversy as to whether "International Wrestling" should replace Peter Potter's "Juke Box Jury" in the Saturday night spot. I predict that TVviewers will bid fond adieu to the grunt and groaners tomorrow night, and once again welcome these guys are for theirThese hooligans spoil them. RICKY MOURNS! This is explained and illustrated in the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "Man" in all Christian Science churches. "Blessed are they that dwell in thy house; they will be still praising thee... O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thoe," reads the Golden Text from Psalms (84:4,12). In a Bible citation the Psalmist writes, "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?... Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet" (8:3,4,6). "Divine Love blesses its own ideas, and causes them to multiply," declares Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." She continues, "Man is not made to till the soil. His birthright is dominion, not subjection. He is lord of the belief in earth and heaven," Himself subordinate alone to his Maker. This is the Science of being" (p. 517).
