IF I CAN GUESS THE STRATEGY OF ASTAR'S SPACE ENEMIES, THEYD LIE HIDDEN BEHIND THAT MOON! HAPPY CONTEST WINNER — Manuel Delgado (the author) is shown being congratulated by Fred Roe, managing the Orange Drive-in theater, after his name was seen in a drawing that won him $2700. Deserving Patron Wins Theater's $2700 Prize Manuel Delgado is without a doubt one of the happiest citizens in Orange county today, for Friday night he won more money in a lottery than he earned in the entire year of 1952. Delgado's name, which he had registered three years ago, was drawn in the weekly contest held at the Orange Drive-in theater, and by a happy coincidence he was at the theater at the time which netted him $2700. A construction worker, Delgado, 18811 Center st., El Modena, told theater Manager Fred Roe that the amount is the same that he owes on his house, and that is what it will be used for. Roe will present him with the check on the theater stage next Friday night. The contest, held by the Orange theater in conjunction with the Paulo theater, has been running for six months, Roe said. Next week a new contest will begin, with a pot of $500 offered. If there are no takers, he explained $100 will be added to the award until someone answers the drawing within three minutes after the name that has been drawn is announced. The drawings are held each Friday evening between shows at the Orange theater. First Presbyterian "A Rendezvous with Life" is the subject on which the Rev Howard S. Congdon, pastor of First Presbyterian church, 310 W. Broadway, will discourse in the 10:45 a.m. service today. Church school classes will begin at 9:45 a.m. Hearts of lettuce with Thousand Island dressing is a salad men usually like. To make the dressing add a quarter cup of chili sauce, a little finely diced green pepper, a hard-cooked egg (chopped fine) and some minced pimiento-stuffed olives to a cup of mayonnaise. Self-Analysis for Daily Living Is Subject for Fullerton Forum How to analyze one's own attitudes and actions and how to evaluate confusing standards of right and wrong in daily living will be subjects of presentation at Fullerton Public Forum Friday evening, Feb. 13, by Dr. Douglas M. Kelley, lecturing and practicing psychiatrist, whose talks will be entitled "Why Our Current Moral Dilemma?" The program is open to the public free of charge in Fullerton Union High school auditorium. At an early age the speaker realized the importance of mental as well as physical health and recognized the great need for help among many confused people in modern, fast-moving society. He decided to make the study of mental problems his life work. Born in California, Dr. Kelley received his BA at University of California, completing work for a medical degree four years later at the same institution. Until 1938 he was assistant in psychiatry at UC hospital. Moving to New York, he associated with New York State Psychiatric Institute and Hospital and New York Neurological Institute as resident in psychiatry and Rockefeller Foundation fellow. At the same time he was Research Fellow in Neurology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. By 1941 he received his doctorate in medical science from Columbia University and was appointed psychiatry instructor at UC Medical school and director of San Francisco City and County Psychopathic hospital. During World War II he served in the Army Medical Corps as chief consulting psychiatrist in the European Theatre being appointed psychiatrist Neuremberg jail. MEDITATION—It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matt. 19:24. CONTROLS—One of President Dwight Eisenhower's first actions since taking over was wage and price controls. In keeping another of his campaign promises the General acted in what was termed as the best interest of the family budgets. This action will probably be reflected in Anaheimers budgets and will effect the cost of living. "We're going to have steak oftener," one Anaheimer said. "I got awful tired of a diet of beans." The law of supply and demand will act to stabilize the market.
