Ed Mateen won the silver tea set at the raffle last night at Pete richards place. The winning number was 42. Among the business changes during the week, we note that of Mr. C. Mosseman, who will in the future conduct the restaurant in the Anaheim hotel. In thus securing a location near the business center of the town, Mr. Mosseman is fortunate and will undoubtedly do a greatly increased business in his new quarters. Several loads of tomatoes were brought into town for the fruit dryer. Mr. Hlenmon informs us that he pays $8 per ton. 50 Years Ago January 1903 Gus Strodthoff is home from Cananea, Mexico; on sick leave having been down with typhoid fever for several weeks.
