Laguna Medical Institute Set By Medic Assn.
The California Medical Association announced today the third annual session of the Southern Counties Medical and Surgical Institute to be held Jan. 22 and 23 at Hotel Laguna, Laguna Beach.
Dr. C. A. Bronddus, Steekton, director of the CMA's post-graduate activities, said that the two-day refresher course is designed to bring postgraduate teaching to physicians and surgeons in the less populated areas.
“This helps to keep doctors posted on the rapid and important advances being made in medicine and surgery,” he said, “and yet allows the busy physician to remain near his practice.”
Dr. E. F. Caln, Anaheim, is chairman of a regional postgraduate study committee representing the counties of San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside and Imperial.
The teaching program has been arranged by Dr. Harold M. Walton, dean of the school of medicine, College of Medical Evangelists, Los Angeles. Professors from the school will lecture on heart disease, skin disorders, hypertension, child psychology and orthopedic problems.
Drawing For Coronation Seats
HONG KONG (P)—This crown colony has allotted 100 seats for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in London next June, but more than 300 want to attend. A drawing will be held to determine who will watch the event from
