Anaheim Gazette MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1953 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA If we hit so hi That's a natural question for Orange County residents to ask. It deserves a frank answer. As you may know, we pay $690,882 in property taxes to the County. This is in addition to municipal, state and Federal taxes; plus very high royalties—more than twice as high as the 12½% required under Federal leases. Now—what do we get? First of all, let's check off some services that cost the County a lot of money—but none of which are supplied directly to our company. For example: (1.) Protection to Person and Property. The County reports these items cost $1,351,989.
