In Anaheim union school district, the latest reports give 1297 average daily attendance, with a total appropriation of $124,730, or $86.17 per average daily attendance. Had the district not had adult education, the ADA would have been 1105 students, with a state allocation of $103,450 at $93.62 per ADA. Newport Harbor union, according to the report, had 1038 ADA, receiving $97,420 at $93.85 per ADA. Without adults, the attendance would have been 998, and the state appropriation would have been $93,820 at $94.01. Santa Ana city district, including adults, had an average daily attendance of 1791, with $174,190 state appropriation. Employment Help Wanted-Male Orange Opens Way to Hook onto MWD Water Line Adoption of resolutions approving the connection, and approval of contract terms by the Orange County Municipal Water district directors at Placentia city hall late yesterday, opened the way for Orange to hook onto the MWD feeder line which passes west of the city. Compliance by the city with terms laid down by the Metropolitan Water district and Orange County Municipal Water district remains before the city can obtain start of its line to connect with the MWD feeder at a point on the Santa Ana river between Orange and Santa Ana. The city must post an amount covering the cost of the work, which will be performed by MWD. Present estimate of the cost is $25,000, highest of two estimates received by the city on the work. In signing the contract, the city must agree to post more money if necessary. If all the money is not used, it will be returned to the city. The proposed contract is expected to be before the Orange city council at its meeting Wednesday evening. The Orange contract, it was stated, will set the pattern for future connections with the MWD feeder lines in the Orange County Municipal Water district.
