Mr. W. H. Lake of Santa Ana was in town yesterday. He says that business in Santa Ana is not suffering materially, and judging from the gentleman's cheerful appearance, we are inclined to believe him.
There has been filed in the office of the Secretary of State articles of incorporation of the Cajon Irrigation Company, to appropriate the waters of the Santa Ana river for the irrigation of ranches of the stockholders in Los Angeles county. Capital $20,000, in shares of $100 each. Directors—James W. Shanklin, H. Hetebrink, R. H. Gilman, W. M. McFadden, and J. B. Tombes. The principal place of business will be in Anaheim, Los Angeles county.
The Anaheim Brass Band has ordered a drum from San Francisco and it will reach here shortly.
It is the opinion of the editor of the Los Angeles Herald that next year will be a very wet one.
It rained at Spadra yesterday afternoon.
Threshers on the Sacramento river, in Yolo county, are finding all the hands and teams and ting the barley into the sack 10 cents a hundred; payable gold. This is for headed baggage that cut with longer stems he pay a little higher rate.

Frank Porter was over his walnut plantation on Orchard thorpe avenue a day or two talking a little politics with boys. Frank has his eye on party's nomination for superintendent and the boys say he has the track for it.
Fred C. Rimpau has been ill at his residence on West Bay way, having been overcome by an attack of fainting in his several days ago. He was moved to his home. It was feared he had been stricken appoplexy, but this proves erroneous and he is steadily proving. Mr. Rimpau is a highly esteemed resident of this city and his many friends will unite the hope that he may be specially restored to his usual good health.

both parents were visibly affected by their emotion, but made no comment.
Full Statement
Young Rupp is said to have made a full statement to officers disclosing all details of the crime at Yorba Linda, but has not signed a formal confession, the district attorney's office said today. District attorney James L. Davis stated he has not yet assigned a prosecutor to the case. It was believed the district attorney himself might take a personal hand in it, as he did in the case of Henry Ford McCracken, charged with the 1951 murder of 10 year old Patty Hull of Buena Park.

Free Chest X-Ray At Fair Popular
One of the busiest spots at the Orange county fair is the chest x-ray mobile unit, sponsored by the Orange county Tuberculosis and Health association in Santa Ana. Fair visitors have regularly stood in line to have their chests x-ray free.
Miss Catherine Hainey, executive secretary from Santa Ana, Mrs. June Daniel, medical social worker and consultant for Orange county and Mrs. Florence P. Black from the Stanton Lady Lions were hostesses in the health exhibit in hobby building No. 1.
Textile paintings made by the 170 patients in the Orange county hospital pavilion for tuberculosis is sold. Proceeds will be used to create a revolving fund to buy more materials for this popular pastime approved by doctors for young tubercular patients, according to George Tobias, president of the organization.
Fred Nedringhaus, chairman of committee from Santa Ana, reports 250 visitors were x-rayed at the fair last year and five chests showed tubercular systems.
