Social and Club Activities Pat Terrebonne — 2206 Tradition Marks Kaschubat-Gerlach Wedding Service in Lutheran Church Miss Ursula Kaschubat and Heinz Garlach, both recent arrivals in the United States, repeated their wedding vows in Zion Lutheran church in Anaheim on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock with the Rev. Edwin Pflug performing the double ring ceremony. A. J. Schutte, president of the congregation, gave the bride in marriage in the stead of her father. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Kaschubat of Bielefeld, Germany. The bridegroom's parents, with whom they came to America, are Mr. and Mrs. Karl Gerlach of 14442 E. The neckline was accented with embroidery of crystal beads and seed pearls. The coronet which held her fingertip veil in place was also embroidered with the beads and peaks. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis and wore a necklace and assisted the bridegroom's parents in receiving the guests in the parish hall at the reception following the ceremony. First cut in the five-tiered cake was made by the bridal couple, after which members of the Dorcas society of the church served the cake with punch and coffee. The bride attended schools in East Prussia and Saxony. Her husband received his schooling in East Prussia and Bielefeld. Both are employed in Olive and will make their home at present with the bridegroom's parents. If you are the kind of person who keeps putting it off, do ask yourself why. Excuse for a Party Need an excuse for giving a party? Don't be silly. The best reason in the world is that you want to see your friends and enjoy an evening of fun with them. Perhaps some special occasion will give you a push like hubby's birthday, a friend's visit from back home, christening the new baby or the barbecue. Are you the kind that keeps putting things off because you think you aren't a good hostess? Everyone had to start somewhere and social grace comes with practice. Listen girl, either your steady job of home-making is not organized right or you aren't being good to your family. Home-makers who are worth their salt maintain a home that is ready for guests. After all, a home that is clean and arranged primarily for the enjoyment of the folks who live in it is the kind of home that friends enjoy visiting. No one expects your house to look like a furniture store with every accessory and each ash tray right in place.
