Attend Local Churches
Christian Science
God's love for man is evidenced in the guidance, redemption, and healing experienced in daily life, according to the Lesson-Sermon on "Love" in all Christian Science churches on Sunday. This verse from I John (4:8) constitutes the Golden Text, "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."
In a Bible citation from John's Gospel (13:34,35) Jesus says, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
"Jesus mapped out the path for others," declares Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Again she says, "In witness of his divine commission, he presented the proof that Life, Truth, and Love heal the sick and the sinning, and triumph over death through Mind, not matter. This was the highest proof he could have offered of divine Love." (pp. 38, 54).

Seeks Acreage For New Church
Rev. Charles A. White and the board of Stanton Community church are searching for acreage to build a $50,000 church to house the growing parish, as designed by Louis C. Gamble of Los Angeles, architect.
The present church at 10571 Flower st., is nearing completion, having been remodeled this summer by volunteer labor. It now has a new vestibule with a spire, stained glass windows, new lighting system, larger seating capacity, clubroom, modern kitchen, and three Sunday school rooms with a parsonage next door.
The original plan was to purchase the property across the street and build the new sanctuary and convert the old church plant into a Sunday school room. These plans have not matured properly so a new site is being sought in Stanton proper on acreage large enough for an entire church plant.
