14 Anaheim Gazette THURSDAY, JULY 21, 1932 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA TWINS WED IN DOUBLE CEREMONY — Two sets of twins, married at a double wedding in Los Angeles, leave the church following the ceremony. Reading from left to right, Mary Katherine Zvonek, 18, became the bride of Edmund Garo, 20, and Rose Marie Zvonek, the bride of Clark Garo. The two couples met while attending high school. The boys, born on Easter Day 1932, are now in the navy. The girls were born Christmas Day, 1933. "Little Bits of California" Adorn Corridors of Capitol SACRAMENTO — A little tory, beginning in 1542 with Por-tuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez "Little Bits of California" Adorn Corridors of Capitol SACRAMENTO (P) — A little bit of all of California is going on show in the corridors of the capitol building. It's a kind of miniature state fair about half a million tourists a year will be seeing. Each county has a glassed-in exhibit space built into the marble walls of the capitol addition and 20 of the 58 counties are now showing what they've got. "Home of the Redwoods," brags Humboldt county, with two miniature trees, plus a section of a small log. "The Valley of Hearts Delight," advertises Santa Clara, showing San Jose, California's first capital, in the middle of it. San Diego has put up a model of its Mission Bay development and San Bernardino shows miniature factories next door to a tiny citrus grove. San Joaquin, the first county to put up its exhibit, has a pitcorial map of "The Diversified Producer" and San Mateo claims it's "where All the Charm Beauty of California is found." Santa Barbara suggests its history, beginning in 1542 with Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, through the Mission and early American periods. Merced shows its sheep, cotton, grapes and hogs and Yolo its tomatoes, sugar beets, cattle, rice, barley, oats and wheat. Tulare has a handsome gallon of green olives stuffed with red pimento and Tehama says it's "The Doorway to the Path of Golden Opportunities." Stanislaus has a replica of a great dam, suggesting how water brings wealth and contentment. Shasta shows minerals and Siskiyou its grains, seeds and lumber. Sonoma sketches "A History Under Seven Flags"—even the Russian—and also has busts of three favorite sons: Plant scientist Luther Burbank, writer Jack London and General H. H. Arnold of the Air Force. Alameda county tests the thirst. The glass case is full of beautiful bottles full of wine—and plenty of empty wine glasses. The case is locked. And there's no spigot. Running from Moscow to the Crimea, it is intended particularly to handle the travel by auto of vacationers on the way to southern resorts in and around the Crimea. Long-distance taxi travel is very popular with other groups. It is extermely convenient for persons traveling to good-sized cities not extremely far from Moscow. Big fast Zis limousines and touring cars, each carrying up to seven passengers, make daily runs from Moscow to such cities as Vladimir, Gorky, Minsk, Yaroslavl, Kharkov and other points. Many Russians are willing to pay the price for the relative speed and comfort of the journey. The 450-mile journey to Kharkov on the same route takes less than a day and the cost is 202.50 rubles, the equivalent of $50.62. The taxis traveling to Kharkov and Simferopol make use of a new highway put into operation.
