Rev. Berthold Jacksteit to Speak At First of Three Union Services

Rev. Berthold Jacksteit to Speak At First of Three Union Services
The Rev. Berthold Jacksteit, pastor of Bethel Baptist church, will speak at the opening union service sponsored by the Association of Christian churches of Anaheim, Sunday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ. His subject will be "The Temple of God."
Presiding over the first of these three great union services will be the Rev. Al Casebeer, pastor of the host church. The service will open with a 20-minute gospel song service led by Orville (Tom-

Following the 8:00 a.m. communion service, at 9:30 the family service at St. Michael's will present brief morning prayer and then a colored film talk concluding the life of Joseph.
In the quiz contest for all ages which follows the film, the kindergarten classes, taught by Mrs. Lee Shaw, is leading. At 10:30 a.m. the service will be morning prayer and the sermon topic of the Rector, the Rev. John Kimball Saville, will be "Jesus Christ—theSame Yesterday, Today andTomorrow." Mrs. Bert Beard will be soloist. At 6:30 p.m. the young people will meet at the parish hall for refreshments and to go in body to the union service at 7:30 at the Church of Christ.
All Episcopal churches in Orange county will join on July 19 at 4 p.m. in the first service of the new Episcopal mission at Garden Grove on the site of the future building in the Garden Square subdivision at 9822 E. Garden Grove blvd.

White Temple Methodist
The Rev. Frank E. Butterworth will speak on the subject "New Question to Aid Answers" in the morning worship service at White Temple Methodist church Sunday.
In the evening, White Temple members will attend the union service being conducted at the Church of Christ at 7:30 p.m.

Christian Science
"Proving Man's Superiority Evil" will be the subject of one of five programs on Christian Science to be heard over Radio Station KPMO on the "Vesper Hour" at 6:15 p.m. from July through July 18. These programs are given in cooperation with the inter-faith committee of the ministerial association of the Claremont-Pomona area.
They attract a large group of listeners and are an aid in promoting a larger fellowship and understanding among people of all faiths.
True worship of God includes activity which blesses and heals mankind, points out the Sunday Bible Lesson on "Sacrament" and all Christian Science churches The Golden Text from Psalm (116:12,13) reads, "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? First Baptist
A special day will be held at First Baptist church, Broadway at Citron, this Sunday, known as Foundation Sunday. The sanctuary of the church has been partially redecorated and all members and friends of the First Baptist church are requested to be present. A special program will be adopted at the 11:00 a.m. service.
At the 7:00 p.m. service, Pastor Bob Kevorkain will continue with his practical messages of everyday life taken from the experiences of Moses. Visitors are cordially invited to attend.
Weslen Methodist
Wm. McKinley Walker. — At the 11 o'clock service, John Albright will sing "An Evening Prayer." The choir, under the direction of Margaret Elliott, will have special music. The minister will preach on the subject, "The Lost Radiance."
The Sunday school meets every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. There is a class for you.
