Anaheim Gazette MONDAY, JUNE 16, 1952 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Social and Club Activities Pat Terrebonne — 2208 St. Boniface Catholic Church Setting For Kelly-Fellbaum Nuptials Saturday Morning nuptials at St. Boniface Catholic church Saturday morning united Miss Joan Marie Kelly, lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Kelly of La Palma ave., and Robert Lee Fellbaum, son of Mrs. Ada Fellbaum of S. Indiana st. Double ring services were read by Father Paul Ferrell. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Colonial gown in chantilly lace with a high neckline and long fitted sleeves. A short train graced the full skirt. Her waist length veil of chantilly lace was held by a crown of pearls and lace and she carried a prayer book bouquet of roses and lily-of-the-valley. Miss Barbara Kelly, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore an orchid gown of lace and taffeta with a matching lace hat. Her bouquet was of pink roses. Bridesmaids, Mrs. Jack Martin and Mrs. Bob Williams, both sisters of the bride, wore yellow dresses with bouquets of white roses. Harold Fellbaum, the bride-grom's brother, was best man and John Bruce ushered. Flower girl, Miss Mary Hartwick, niece of the bride, wore a pink taffeta and net dress. Her brother, Gary Hartwick, was ring bearer. Delores Giardino, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Clara Faust at the organ. The Kelly home on La Palma ave., was the setting for the reception where Mrs. Shirley Kelly and Mrs. Chester Sanderson assisted in serving. Mrs. Kelly wore a floor length dress of rose lace with a corsage of yellow roses, and Mrs. Fellbaum wore navy blue lace with pink roses. Her husband was graduated from Anaheim High school and Fullerton Junior college. They will make their home in Anaheim. Garden Ceremony Unites Verla Witt C. Sanders Brown Sunday Afternoon At a garden wedding held in Capilla de San Antonio Sunday afternoon, Verla, the daughter, of Mrs. Ella Wimberly, became the bride of C. Sanders Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brown of Rochester, N. Y. Rev. A. G. Parmenter, pastor of First Church of the Nazarane, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Attending the pair were Miss Louella Baker, niece of the bride, as maid of honor; Miss Suzan Brown, daughter of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid; Wayne Wooten nephew of the bride, as best man; Morris Wimberly, Wilbern Wimberly III, nephews of the bride; Wayne Gough, brother-in-law of the bride and Floyd McCarty, friend of the couple, acted as ushers. Given in marriage by her brother, Ferlin Wimberly, the bride wore a champagne lace ballerina, street length gown with a fitted bodice, sequined Juliet collar and rust accessories. Her veil of nylon tulle was waist length attached to a garland of gold toned carnations and denorodium orchids. She carried to the altar a little white bride's Bible, given to her by the bridegroom; decorated with a complimentary corsage and cascading knotted streamers. Tucked within the Bible is "something old," was a dainty embroidered crepe de chine handkerchief given to the bride while in the first grade, by Grace Ezell, her teacher. The little 12 year old maid of honor and eight year old bridesmaid, wore print, street length dresses in coral and chartreuse. Verla, as all her friends know her, is active in clues as a business woman and partnership with sisters Dona Beauty salon. Nice Pullman Installed Honored Queen of Job's Daughters Bethel 5 Installation of Janice Pullman honored queen of Anahethel No. 5. Order of Job's Daughters, June 14, marked the year of the group. Garlands of golden Dona Atwood carnations decorated their hair and they carried natural reed bird cages, in which were arbird cages, in which were arranged more of the same carnations and a bright yellow canary. The bride's mother wore a navy blue afternoon gown with a corsage of daisies and orchids pinned at her shoulder. Reception followed the ceremony in an adjacent garden, where the many guests witnessed the newlyweds cutting the pedestal type wedding cake. Following an early American custom, a piece of the wedding cake was placed in a handpainted "wedding bowl" of milk glass which was presented to the couple by the bride's employees. Mrs. Wilbern Kimberly and Mrs. Wayne Gough presided at the coffee urn and punchbowl. Fullerton Cannery Schedule Arranged Fullerton's Community cannery will be open for canning berries and cherries Thursday June 19 at 1 p.m. providing sufficient reservations are made, according to Miss Ina Gerritt, instructor. The uncertainty of the crop and prices require that individuals desiring to take advantage of the opportunity to can notify the cannery in advance, Miss Gerritt emphasized.
