Mrs. Harvey Koss and daughter, Jeanette, were host at a bridal shower honoring Lee Bennett last week at the home, 7852 Orange ave., Anaheim
A beautifully decorated paper, tied with white bows, the art work of Mrs. J. P. O. and her granddaughter, Jean Koss.
Games appropriate to the occasion were played and later freshments of ice cream to with strawberries and coffee tea were served.
Those attending were: Cora Dawson, Nancy Ater, Rose Poyet, Patty Hicks, Leah Gee Pat Frahm, Barbara Perry, Linda Cave, Jeannine Pannier, Jo Felt, Velva Brookman, Le Lattin, Feren Terrill; the of honor, Lynda Bennett, J. P. Cook, and the hono mother, aunt and sister, E. O. Bennett, Mrs. Arthurner and Audra Bennett, respectively.
Those unable to attend, sending gifts were: Darlene Wmann, Elizabeth Van Hum Mary Dougherty and Mary Starr.

Arizona Rites Unite Couple
Miss Edna A. Jaberg, daughter of Clifford E. Jaberg, 7782 Magnolia ave., was married in Yuma, Ariz., Saturday night to Robert Skeen of the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego.
Twenty-four close friends and relatives attended a reception given by the bride's brother, Mr. and Mrs. William R. Jaberg at 9241 Houston rd., Sunday evening.
The bride wore a white, red dotted organza full skirted gown with a low neckline and puffed sleeves.
Hosts were assisted by Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Henson of Buena Park and the bride's aunt, Mrs. Fred Olsen from Fargo, North Dakota.
The bride was graduated from Fullerton High school and Junior college and is employed at the Anaheim office of the telephone company. Skeen was educated in Marysville, Tenn. He is the son of 'Mrs. Verna Skeen of Tennessee.
Scholarships Given By Pan-Hellenic
Northern Orange County Panhellenic league met Monday in the patio of the Floyd Backeberg home on Rose dr., Fullerton.
Present from this city were Mrs. Walter Studhalter, Mrs. Coalson Morris, Mrs. Harry Rainey, Mrs. C. R. Neighbors, Mrs. James Carter and Mrs. R. Kenton Wines.
Assisting the hostess were Mrs. Max Erwin and Mrs. George Kipe, both of Fullerton.
During the brief business meeting it was announced that three scholarships have been awarded, two for $50, to high school girls and one for $200 for a Junior college student.
Savanna Grads To Be Honored
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. Wolter, 7172 E. Orange ave., will be hosts to the 46 boys and girls who will graduate from Savanna Elementary School Wednesday, following the exercises.
Room mothers and their husbands who will assist with the buffet supper: Mmes. Charles Baccus, Ralph Klemm, Raymond Van de Warker, David R. Fuller, Elton C. Snavely and Paul Pletz, 2nd grade teacher.
Special guests will be Supt. and Mrs. Wayne Butterbaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams, vice-principal in charge of the 8th grade.

The Stanton Lady Lions met Tuesday night in their clubhouse on Chestnut st., for a potluck dinner with Mmes. Mayme A. Coolidge and Winona Howland as hostesses. Rose colored carnations and gladiolas set the color scheme.
A baby shower was held for a polio stricken family after which card games were played with the proceeds going to the cancer fund. Twelve cans for coins for the cancer fund were turned in to Mrs. Lewis S. Bartleson, chairman for the area in Garden Grove.
Additional dishes and glassware purchased for the kitchen by the club were displayed.
Special guests were honorary lifetime members, Mrs. Leola Gautschy from 29 Palms and Mrs. Ethel Hovey of Downey.

EASTERN VACATION — Mrs. Minnie Wents of the Angelina Hotel is leaving Friday morning to spend the summer with her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Ilams in Hamilton, New York.
TRIP TO CANADA—Mr. Drew Knight, genial druggist at Jackson's Drug store, leaves by plane Saturday night for Canada. His son Barry, who graduates from FUHS today, will accompany him. Their first stop will be Chicago, and from there they will fly to Montreal.
HOME FROM HOSPITAL — George E. Kitchens Sr., is convalescent at home, 9831 S. Hansen ave., Stanton, after five days in the Anaheim Community hospital.
HOME ON LEAVE — Lt. and Mrs. Charles Kitchens are visiting his father, Mr. and Mrs. George (Joe) Kitchens Jr., at 6871 Savanna st., Stanton.
The Lt. is on leave from the air base at Chandler, Arizona.
SAVANNA PICNIC — More than 400 parents and children attended the Savanna Elementary school picnic at Irvin Park, according to Supt. Wayne L. Butterbaugh.
29 PALMS VISITORS — Mrs. Leola Gautschy and her daughter, Jane, who just completed her freshman year at the 29 Palms High School, are staying at their property, 9735 S. Western ave. They will return to 29 Palms July 4th.
