A new wrap for foods slated for the home freezer has just been put on the market after months of developing and testing. Called Western Lockerfoil, it is a combination of three materials: aluminum foil, flexible laminent which remains flexible and soft at low temperatures, and a heavy paper. This combination gives maximum protection against loss of moisture in frozen meats, says its manufacturer, and will fold readily, and resists scuffing and tearing. It will not adhere to the contents wrapped. Specifically manufactured for wrapping frozen meats, fish, game and fowl.

Girl Scout News
Catherine Peltzer, 12034 Cerritos st. and Shirley Schmitz, 14371 Anaheim-Olive Rd., both Senior Scouts of Troop 8 have been chosen by the local Girl Scout council selections committee to attend Camp River Glen, operated by the Glendale Girl Scouts at Barton Flats. This regional encampment is open only to Senior Girls, 16 years old, who meet the rigid camping qualifications of the National Girl Scout organization.
The purpose of these encampments is to provide opportunity for girls to make friends with girls from other parts of the region, to discuss Girl Scouting together, and to give them further experiences in primitive camping.
These girls were chosen because of their outstanding service to the local girl scout program and their camping records, both having attended established camps for five years as well as having an impressive day and troop camp record.
These Senior Scouts will be fortunate in having as their leader Mrs. W. R. Packard of Glendale who was an exchange councilor to France last summer. The National Field Staff in the Region XII is working closely with Mrs. Packard and the Glendale council on arrangements and plans for staff and program for this encampment which will take place from Aug. 14 to 27.
Mrs. Clyde Dawson, Anaheim Girl Scout Day Camp chairman, has announced that today is the final date for registration for the two sessions of Brownie Day camp in Hillcrest Park, Fullerton. The program this year will be concentrated on nature study.
Senior Girl Scout troop 8 left Anaheim at 6 a.m. yesterday for Sequoia National Park where they will set up primitive camp and enjoy 8 days of outdoor living. The long planned trip became a reality when two cars and a truck furnished by parents of the girls, left with 10 Scouts and their camping equipment. Hiking, cooking and practicing camp skills will be included in the program.
Making the trip were Carole Miller; Marjorie Monning; Shirley Schmtz; Cathy Peltzer; Carole Bushman; Ann Fabian; Donna May; Ruth Gillespie and Paula Lande. Mr. and Mrs. Don May accompanied the girls and will be joined by Mrs. R. L. Baker and Peggy Sterba on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Peltzer and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fabian also helped with the transportation.
