Anaheim Gazette MONDAY, MAY 29, 1952 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Social and Club Activities Pat Terrebonne — 2208 Women Students To Be Installed At Rose Tea New officers of women's organizations on the Fullerton Junior College campus will be installed at the annual Rose Tea, to be held in the college lounge Wednesday afternoon, May 28, announced Miss Marguerite Waters, dean of women, today. Sponsored by the Associated Women Students, the annual affair will include a luncheon, musical program, and visiting of classes by mothers of women students. Mothers are especially welcome at the tea, said Miss Waters. A film will be shown for them from 2 to 3 p.m. and they are urged to visit their daughters' classes in the afternoon. From 12 to 1 p.m. luncheon will be served, with admission of 50 cents per person. Providing entertainment will be Phyllis Berriman, Gale Conner, Deana Murdy, Patti Mattox, and the oral interpretation class of Mrs. Esther Hatch. The tea proper will be held at 3 p.m., when the installation ceremony for the AWS, Women's Athletic Association, and sororities will take place. Local Secretaries Attend Confab At Las Vegas Orange County secretaries bound for their first convention of Executives' Secretaries Inc., being held this week at Las Vegas, Nevada, are president, Hilda Bittles of Nutrillite Co. in Buena Park; Enid Edmond of Northrop, Anaheim; Irene Adams, PepsiCola, Santa Ana; and Jeanne Parks of Golden Citrus, Fullerton. Hostesses are the Las Vegas chapters, with headquarters at the "Last Frontier." Chapters attending in addition to the local are San Francisco, Los Angeles, East Bay, Peninsula, San Diego, Long Beach, Pomona Valley, Santa Clara Valley, Dallas, Portland and Chicago. Ruby Sorber, national president, from Payne Heating Co. in Beverly Hills, will preside at the meeting. Members are requested to bring their own table service. Shop Friday Night 'Til 9 Fullerton Notes The institution and installation of the new Buena Park Bethel of Job's Daughters was held Sunday in the Buena Park Masonic temple. Marilyn Mitchell is the Queen of the new Bethel. Maranne Childers and Patty Mennes are the Senior Princess and Junior Princess respectively. Following the installation was a reception and tea. The 38 members of the new Bethel were initiated by the Fullerton Bethel of Job's Daughters on May 20. Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Sweeney of this city are parents of a son, Kevin Michael born Friday at Fullerton hospital. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wilson of San Pedro and maternal grandmother is Mrs. Patrick J. Sweeney of N. West st. The Sweeneys have two other children, Patrick and Kathleen.
