Women Students To Be Installed At Rose Tea
New officers of women's organizations on the Fullerton Junior College campus will be installed at the annual Rose Tea, to be held in the college lounge Wednesday afternoon, May 28, announced Miss Marguerite Waters, dean of women, today.
Sponsored by the Associated Women Students, the annual affair will include a luncheon, musical program, and visiting of classes by mothers of women students.
Mothers are especially welcome at the tea, said Miss Waters. A film will be shown for them from 2 to 3 p.m. and they are urged to visit their daughters' classes in the afternoon.
From 12 to 1 p.m. luncheon will be served, with admission of 50 cents per person. Providing entertainment will be Phyllis Berriman, Gale Conner, Deana Murdy, Patti Mattox, and the oral interpretation class of Mrs. Esther Hatch.
The tea proper will be held at 3 p.m., when the installation ceremony for the AWS, Women's Athletic Association, and sororities will take place.
Local Secretaries Attend Confab At Las Vegas
Orange County secretaries bound for their first convention of Executives' Secretaries Inc., being held this week at Las Vegas, Nevada, are president, Hilda Bittles of Nutrillite Co. in Buena Park; Enid Edmond of Northrop, Anaheim; Irene Adams, PepsiCola, Santa Ana; and Jeanne Parks of Golden Citrus, Fullerton.
Hostesses are the Las Vegas chapters, with headquarters at the "Last Frontier."
Chapters attending in addition to the local are San Francisco, Los Angeles, East Bay, Peninsula, San Diego, Long Beach, Pomona Valley, Santa Clara Valley, Dallas, Portland and Chicago. Ruby Sorber, national president, from Payne Heating Co. in Beverly Hills, will preside at the meeting.

A. B. Paul WRC will hold its regular social club meeting and pot-luck on Tuesday, May 27 at the home of Mrs. Hazel Lindgren, 8182 Whittaker, Buena Park, at noon. Members are requested to bring their own table service.

Fullerton Notes
The institution and installation of the new Buena Park Bethel of Job's Daughters was held Sunday in the Buena Park Masonic temple. Marilyn Mitchell is the Queen of the new Bethel.
Maranne Childers and Patty Mennes are the Senior Princess and Junior Princess respectively. Following the installation was a reception and tea. The 38 members of the new Bethel were initiated by the Fullerton Bethel of Job's Daughters on May 20.
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Sweeney of this city are parents of a son, Kevin Michael born Friday at Fullerton hospital. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wilson of San Pedro and maternal grandmother is Mrs. Patrick J. Sweeney of N. West st. The Sweeneys have two other children, Patrick and Kathleen.
Council of P-TA Hears Reports
Anaheim Council of Parents and Teachers meeting, held in Investment of Youth bldg., was opened with the flag salute and inspirational reading from the "Chaplain's Corner" by Mrs. Carl Hailey field, inspiration chairman.

Revised lists of life membership recipients were distributed to all local chairmen for their procedure books, with instructions for additions in succeeding years, by Mrs. Wm. Rickel, Council life membership chairman.
Parliamentarian, Mrs. John Daniel, distributed the revised copies of Council by-laws, for all officers and chairmen. She requested list of past-presidents of all locals be turned in to her.
Mrs. John Henry, first vice-president and program chairman, urged chairman to follow outline in yearbook for the seven major points to be followed in planning local programs. In case of a program cancellation have ready emergency programs: book reviews, magazine articles, and skits. Program chairman also have charge of installation ceremonies of officers.
Mrs. Simonton was authorized to appoint a committee of three to report on the health measure and sanitary facilities, also standards for circuses and carnivals in the council. Mrs. John Henry was appointed chairman, with Mrs. John Daniel and Miss E. Kate Rea.
Mrs. H. G. Head, council treasurer, reminded locals to fill out and file income tax form No. 990A necessary for non-profit organizations. Mrs. Simonton announced there would be a Home-School conference in October and the Council plan to send two representatives.

Mrs. Howard Wilkinson reminded the local membership chairmen of the Fourth District Workshop on May 27, beginning at 9:30 to noon at Santiago Park, N. Main st., Santa Ana. She also requested total school enrollment as of Mar. 1, as a basis for membership envelope needs for the drive this fall.
Safety chairman, Mrs. Wm. Klapper, reported on "Scotch Light" tape project sponsored by Optimist club. A report on "Exhibits" displayed at 53rd annual State convention in San Francisco was made by Mrs. Conan W. Gray.
The appointment of Mrs. Poster Warwick, California P-TA, State chairman of High School and College service, was announced.
Dona Jean Thomas was awarded a Fourth District Scholarship so be used to complete her senior year for teaching credentials.
A parent-teacher information course is scheduled for early in the fall, date to be announced later.
Hostesses for the meeting were: Mrs. Russell Repner, Mrs. Wm. Klapper and Mrs. John Daniel. Twenty members enjoyed the pot-luck luncheon at noon.
Anaheim Council of Parents & Teachers will be hosts to the Fourth District meeting in September at the City Park, date September 18.
