Anaheim Students Featured in FJC Weekend Fete Carol Hochull and Roland Hiltscher, Anaheimers attending Fullerton Junior college, will be among the Hornets featured in the annual Blue and Gold festivities at the college, May 21, 22 and 23. Both have spotlighted parts in the big musical show with the theme "Far Away Places," written by Babs Drew, Fullerton, and Don Padgett, Whittier, to be presented May 23. Other students in the show, directed by Mrs. Esther Hatch, include Glae Conner, Placeia; Florence Rowland, Fullerton; David Pease, Downey; Jane Patterson, Fullerton, and others. Reigning over the Blue and Gold festivities will be a Prince and Princess, to be elected Wednesday, May 21. Second day of the fete is designated "Dogpatch Day," with students and faculty expected to wear the traditional "hill-billy" garb. Two women's service sororities, the Kappa Lambda Sigmas and the Theta Nu Thetas, will square away for a baseball game on Thursday. For Friday, the climax of the Blue and Gold affair, a beach party and a dance are scheduled. FJC Cast Works On Howard Play, 'The Silver Chord' "On Stage!" is the traditional cut to actors. At the student production of "The Silver Cord" in the Fullerton junior college lounge this week, May 12-17, the cut applies to the audience, too. Used for the first time here, the "central staging" technique of the production places the audience at stage level and almost surrounding the "stage." Supplementing the "intimate" actor-audience feeling of this technique, refreshments will be served at intermission. The play will run tonight, Friday and Saturday, with two afternoon matinees on Wednesday and Thursday, at 3:15. Tickets are now on sale at the deans' offices. In the Sidney Howard play, the plot revolves around the clash between a dominant mother and her two sons trying to escape diminance. Cast in leading roles are Liz Robibns, Anaheim; Joyce Shunk, Anaheim; Jane Patterson, Fullerton; Don Padgett, Whittier; and Greg Gorby, Santa Ana.
